Quick Question Regarding Water Curing

I just had a question regarding curing buds in water. Am I able to take the buds straight from harvest to the water or do they need to be dried some first then soaked. Ty for any answers!

Dude, don't freakin try it, it ruins your smoke! I used those same exact instructions, about a year ago, and wasted 100 grams of green buds. It turned out horrible. Yeah, it got you high, but tasted like shit(barely tastes like weed at all), and was nothing like those instructions lead you to believe. Personally, I think it's a practical joke.

No, I don't make any mistakes, either. Those instructions were followed EXACTLY.


I couldn't even give the shit away, after it was "water-cured", so ended up making hash out of it.lol

Thanks Billy, that was exactly what I needed to know. I will be having my first harvest soon ( barney's g13 haze) and I want to take a few grams to water cure and air cure the rest. I am really excited to sample my own grown buds!

Its an "Aquired" taste to put it lightly. For those who only care about getting high its great, water cure makes it about 20% more potent by weight since the water removes a lot of material and the Trichs are not water soluble so they stay. Some strains will taste better than others, but the good ole hang to dry and jar cure is still the best way IMO.
