I always leave mine on too. It doesn't cost much to run and with a passive intake you will get more fresh air with it running.

I grow 4 plants as well (since 5 is a felony and 4 is a misdemeanor in my state). I keep a small circular fan on them 24/7 at medium strength, but I also have to keep my closet open since my autos have become somewhat beastly - way wider than tall. I have placed a large box fan by the window of my spare bedroom (grow room) which is used to direct outside fresh fall air into the room. I have to keep the box fan about 3 in from the curtians so they don't get sucked into the fan and either create a space where people can see what I'm doing or equally worse suck the curtians into the fan itself and start a fire when the engine on the box fan overloads.

what state do you live in. see i have always under stood it doesnt matter how many plants you have its the cultivation charges and the potential to grow more that brings in all the charges where i live (pa) you get all those bull sshit charges that go with. the conspericy intent and so on. i thought it would be a mis. myself but it was explained to me it the intent that is the bad part of it all. and what kills me the most is they weigh the whole plant roots and all to come up with total weight to charge you. they dont trime it up and dry it out then charge you.....bastards

i feel air is like light the more fresh air you can give them the better. co2 is used up very fast and you want no chance of stagnet air sitting in any part of your plant. so give them the most fresh air possible you can never go wrong. if you were supplimenting with co2 i would say shut your fan while the lights are on and co2 is being injected. then when lights go out the air comes on to vent the unused co2. we all know a plant reverts at night and co2 would choke them......good luck with your plants...high harvest to you

i dont think i would take my life into a website. i know from first hand experience that in pa they are the laws they use when they lock you up. they are a little more strict than the laws i saw posted there for pa. i had some trouble a few years back and i have 6 plants thinking that hay it isnt that much. well let me tell you i got hit with possecion, poss with intent, cultivation and several other charges. if you have any bags in the house a scale or any of that stuff they associate with dealing drugs it opens up all new charges. if you feel comfortable with that site then hay go for it. i can see it now in court but your the website said its just a fine a probation. oh and do you live anywhere near a school or a church? then the fines and charges go up. is there a playground in your neighborhood? then its even worse....let me just say i am totally happy my grandpop had some political pull and new a few people because it wasnt a mis. and a fine....and it was 6 plants.....and they werent even budding they were still vegging.....so to me go big and just keep it to yourself and enjoy your grow
