Quick Question.

Okay so I have 6 plants in 3 gal pots that I'm trying to flower in a 3x3 tent under a 400 watt HPS. 3 plants are blueberry, the other 3 are tangie ghost train. The TGT has a pretty good stretch in flowering, and as this is my first run with the blueberry I don't know how they will act and don't want to over crowd my tent. So I was thinking of switching out the 400 watt HPS with a 150 Watt HPS or maybe just t5s for the first stage of flower and switching back to the 400 once the stretch is done. I'm fairly sure this will work , but just wanted to get some thoughts. Will post a pic tomorrow for a better example

have you topped any of them and how many times? if so, i think you'll be okay and should stick with your 400. what did you have them under for veg? i wonder if they would stretch more under the smaller light so maybe deal with the stretch by LST

Stick with the 400. You wont do yourself any favors by degrading your light power. Vegging is one thing but when it's flowering time THATS where the rubber meets the road brother.

Hey yeah I have topped them all about once or twice. They were just under a t5 during veg so theyre not huge but it's already pretty tight in there. I kinda thought the same things with the smaller lights... thanks for the input.

Your right there. I kinda did something similar my last grow and it seemed to work okay though

You always want a much light as possible, personally I hate stretch, I like to keep them as compact as possible keeping the most stretched ones on the outside edges like a vertical setup.

personally I would off a couple plants in that size tent. keep the 400 going the whole time n let it grow.

Chuck in as much light as you can even if for the last week before harvest 400+150 =550 w

thats not to be sneezed at ...imo

Not at all, once they hit bud they'll thin them fans themselves ...eventually

with prominent heads exposed ..

I budget 9 plants max in 3 usgallons to 3 ft high in 90 days ...its an easy grow
