Quietest Exhaust Fans

Well, i have learned a few tips about how to make exhaust fan noise, become alot quieter. But which fans are the quietest that you guys know of? the fan doesn't need to be huge, just one that will move good air for a 100 cf area. i know about duct fan mufflers, fan speed controllers, and some other tricks. But still, i would like to start with the most silent fan that i can get. Then i plan on using every trick on it, because i can't have anyone hearing an exhaust fan running, and being like "what's that noise?"

Anyhow, thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated, especially from growers with stealth experience.

Another good trick for muffling an exhaust fan is to enclose it in an insulated box i plan on pulling out all the stops here ... lol

The box needs to be heavy. The insulation isn't such a biggie. Suspend with bungies

its been years since I had this issue ...lol

for me its was a question of getting everything into balance

as above, bungies are good, also rubber block mounts

vital is the vent selection, avoid those tubes with raised welts

to ensure the inside is smooth, not ribbed

Yeah it took me some time ...years ???

and much money lost

I made my own eventually, then

I had to learn the most horrid of facts

about how much velocity one looses on bends ....lol

I have a straight 25' run of 6" flex, then to solid pipe for another 20 feet. Can't do it all solid, unfortunately.

vortex s line fans are quiet seen them at a comparison at a local hydro store dont have one but man it was quiet
