NYC! cigs are 10 bucks a pack! When i went to London a year ago they were already at that price.. Someone mentioned how expensive the patch is, and I agree, but its cheaper than smokes, and I buy mine (nicoderm patch) at BJs discount where it is at least half the price of the grocery store, nd then I cut each one in half to make them last longer.... they do help

Was addicted to dope for years, it is easier than quitting smoking! well, with methadone.. Thats why i reccomend the patch, it really helps ease the cravings, similar to how methadone helped me quit dope... although, then i was addicted to methadone for years and had to kick that....

I think that if I went to the patch right now after more than 2 weeks it would be taking a step backwards. I could be wrong. I really, in my head, believe that it's not a nicotine habit I'm trying to shake right now. It's the marriage that I've had with cigarettes for over 35 years.

I quit the damn things 9 years ago after about 30. A couple stops & starts in the years prior, but finally said enough! & it stuck. Now I hatem & cannot even stand to smell the smoke knowing the nasties it contains.

ha yeah i grew up around people constantly smoking cigs and they would all be hypocrites about smoking saying it was terrible so i never really got started smoking but yeah congratulations solstice

yeah dude np things that people have done for a while are often hard to stop doing and i got a tip for you everytime you feel like smoking you should think of something gross so your body will instantly relate the idea of smoking with something gross so it will gross you out to even think of smoking

No, that dosn't sound stupid at all, the idea is to re-enforce a negative reaction when you think you need a smoke. I once knew a girl that carried around a small bottle in her purse - it had cig butts + water in it & when she craved a smoke she would open up that stinky bastard and take a big whif

Yeah, it does sound bad but it was much worse in person. Imagine dumping some water in a full ashtray & leaving it for a couple weeks - that'll cure you of the craving !

cigarettes were 3.50 a pack where i live just two months ago.... about 4 weeks ago, every week they went up... 4.00.... 4.50.... 4.75 me and my girl agreed = "If they go over five a pack, I quit"...... and then... 5.00.... 5.02... i use to go through a pack in one or two days, i stretch them to 4 or 5 days now, i'm trying to slow to the point of stopping... if i know i had one within the past 1 or 2 hours i try not to light another one up... i remember when i could stop for 2 weeks here and there with no problems... now i have one everytime i wake up and before i go to sleep. Like clockwork.
