that's pretty sterotypical. but at the same time i know what u mean. white population in the country have had centuries to understand money. controlling money is an art. it trully is. and many white families have been building on wealth since they migrated here. so most white people are brought up understanding money flow as where newer members of this wealthy country still havent got it down. blacks for the most part are there. its just a few stragglers that spend their money on rims, clothes, jewlery, instead of education for their childeren, charity, vacations, such n such. i mean its cool to " live in the now". but i see alotta blacks wasting money on matierilistic shit. unfortunately it might be too late till they know it. but yeah thats my 7 cents.

Anyways, this thread can't really go anywhere good... but the point I'm attempting to make is if you want equality, you have to get rid of any programs, TV stations (BET, change it to Hip Hop TV?) and any other organization that caters to a specific race... that is the only way you will have the equality you so wish to have.

Now don't get me wrong, the NAACP had great motives when it was founded, all the way into the Civil Rights era... but now it is worthless and racist.

Whoa...You do know these "special Programs" were created because everything that is "American" is saturated in a so-called perceived mainstream "White" culture. Mcdonalds came up with the 365 black campaign because Black history isn't publicized anyway else. We're given one short month to display to the world the contributions we've made to the United States and to the world, and frankly most people still don't give a shit. Most places don't even acknowledge it. What's more racist a company trying to profit off a campaign that does some good, or a country full of people who don't acknowledge the contributions made by there own fellow countrymen? Oh and don't get me started on BET. BET Was started because there were very few images of black people on television. ABC, NBC, CBS could easily be called the W.E.N (White entertainment Network). That's not racist.....Robert Johnson just wanted to create something that he and his people can be proud of. Only since he sold it to VIACOM has it become the bottom tier of black culture.

Are you serious? When I was in school we very rarely talked about black history OUTSIDE of black history month. So PLEASE explain to me the hypocritical nature of the 365 campaign when mainstream white history is taught all year round?

Just read the majority of this thread and watched the video, and to me it doesnt seem to be race related. That being said, the 5hit ur over reacting... We all know racism exists in all forms, and for dots to hear something that he believed was racist, doesnt make him a racist person... Making a statement like "blacks are bad at saving money" is a stereotype in itself.. you dont have the right to say stuff like that but then when someone states their opinion, even if its wrong, jump all over their back saying that they are racist.. It just doesnt work like that....

I have attended college, and taken African American Studies courses, but that was a personal choice and I was willing to pay for it;However what about the people who don't choose to attend college, or simply can't afford it. What about people who choose not to take an AAS course? Your strawman argument is basically saying unless you choose to learn about another culture you shouldn't be forced too. Right?

I'm not what you would call a one sided racist as i hate every color equally which in turn, makes me superior to you and anyone you know including your mom and pop, and any slaves you may own ( whether they be black or white or fucking orange) i dont care..
Now with that said, i have an asian man for sale. here is a following description.

1_ Hes short: good for working in caves and other tight spaces.

2_ His eyes are slanted : so he can look directly in sunlight and not get hurt, or he can weld without a mask on, you call the shots!!

3- he eats rice and only rice, so a 8 pound bag should last you about 2 weeks. Including food and drink that's about 27 buck every 2 weeks. pretty cheap i know.

Here in America we are all Americans and ppl needa get over that race b.s. And Dont tell me black ppl arent racist.. I live in an majority black nieghborhood, and I was with one of my best friends who is Indian. Some black guy passes us on the street and say "move you spic.." then hes like, "oh your a terrorist" very softly but I clearly heard him and so did my friend.. I was ready to knock dude out.. I got in his face and the conductor of the train had to step in to seperate us....

That is the type of shit that pisses me off... You would think with all the racism black people endured in the past would make them understand how stupid racism is..

Later that night at like 4am, we were getting food and some black guy, completely decked out in crosses and What Would Jesus Do? apperal comes up to my friend and asks him if he believes in Jesus.. I say WTF does it matter what he believes.. Then the guy starts running his mouth about how we need to leave... I say, " Do you understand, that WHITES invaded Africa and FORCED Catholicism on blacks.." At which point he shuts his mouth..

Sorry man... that's just wrong.

I do believe we teach history as per our countries historic achievements. Germany teaches more on German history, Sudan teaches Sudanese history, Australian schools teach mostly Australian history. If you want to know about black history, go to where you came from, be it Africa, Australia, South America... etc... or as the other guy said, take a black history class.

Also, as for white culture... that's impossible to agree with because our country is a huge melting pot and as such, the American culture is one of many.

And, you're wrong about BET... as per the Wiki!

1. I didn't come from Africa. I was born and raised in the U.S.A like most black people that currently resides in the U.S.

2. Black history in America is just as lengthy as White history in America. Black slaves were brought here pretty much as soon at the U.S. started being colonized.

3. Wait so Robert Johnson created BET to showcase more black people on T.V. or to make money? Sounds like they're mutually exclusive to me.

4. African Americans make up 13% of the american population are you honestly trying to tell me that Mcdonalds not only survives but thrives on the Black Consumer? GTFO. I'm sure it's more white who order Quarter Pounders alone than Black people who eat mcdonalds.

5. The american culture is one of many, but there is one culture that holds a monopoly on the history that is taught in our public school systems. I'm sorry you can deny it all you want, but the vast majority of American History that's taught is largely predicated on Accomplishments made by white men.
