Regarding the dirty bowl comment, no, they cannot.
It really depends on the laws in your state. I live in CA and the laws are a lot more lenient on cannabis than it is in NC I believe.
But for paraphernalia, I believe all they can issue you is a ticket in NC..
But I'll put money on it that they're just going to drop the case during the first hearing.
You'll be fine bro, as long as you didn't say anything incriminating about yourself. With the amount of evidence they have regarding this case and the circumstances of, I have no doubt in my mind that all charges will be dropped. They probably won't even make it to the plea deal...

If the cops are serious they'd be back over to your house putting you in cuffs. Call a decent lawyer, you might get an initial consultation for free.

I asked him on the phone, "why the delay, can't I come turn myself in now" he said no. I said "am I going to be picked up before we meet" he said absolutely not.

It's like they're trying to find more evidence, they took my cellphone (which I'd left at home). I guess they're looking through it for evidence, but I don't sell, never have, there's nothing on it encriminating.

I smoke pot, if they want to charge me with that I'm cool, but no1 was growing here, nor selling.

I guess I'm most worried about the "felony maintaining a dwelling for drug purposes" but I don't understand how paraphenellia alone is enough for that.

The roaches must have been in a trash bag with something else that had your name on it like a bill or something. What would stop someone from tossing their pot trash into a random persons trash can on trash night?

I cant imagine a judge signing a search warrant because roaches were found in the trash. Most likely, you got snitched on and the police just needed something concrete to bring to the judge. So a CI "tip" coupled with the trash = busted. Why would cops be randomly looking in your trash anyway?

Like the poster before me, as soon as I read "roomates stripper ex-girlfriend" I knew why you got busted. That is like the ultimate rat. Add "high school" to that and youve got yourself a super snitch.

They do not dispatch a swat team because a stripper told them you had a couple of plants in a cupboard.. And a stripper telling them you have 50 plants in a room would not be evidence enough for them to straight up send in a swat team.. Either it wasn't a swat team, and you're exageratting, or if it was a swat team's there is z hell of a lot more going on than a simple pissed off stripped lying about a grow, that jindof shit needs evidence, not just word of mouth from a single pissed off broad.

It's already all been said, but I'll say it again, maybe you'll feel better it coming from somebody who is taught by lawyers. 1. It is not illegal to cultivate vegetables in your house. 2. It is not illegal to buy five different thousand watt ballasts, set up a grow tent, and have fox farm posters all over your grow room. 3. It is illegal to have roaches in your trash can. Now, just because you allegedly grow marijuana according to some jaded slit, no evidence shows a correlation between a few roaches, and growing equipment. If you had a few seeds in a jar as opposed to weed, they would have more evidence than this situation, and in that case, it would still be a joke. Now dude, foreal, listen. Do not go meet anybody..Go meet with the cops? really? No. You do not get a courtesy call when you are being arrested. Do not go meet anybody. This is hilarious. If you agree to go meet with them, you are not protected by your Miranda Rights, because you are not under arrest. The fact they took your phone is a little fishy to me also. if they found no drugs,leaves,stems,trimmings, none of that, just some equipment you will be fine.My spot got raided once after my last grow at a rental house we had just cleaned everything up the night before the rooms where torn down just equipment in the house.My partner was the one there when they came in he got arrested , long story short after the lawyer said his peace on the first court date every thing was dropped due to lack of evidence we were growing dro them pigs where like 12 late ahaha.Now they could still charge u with simple posession since they found rouches in the trash.
