Rain/Construction protection

I would get some 3/4" pvc pipe, 2' wider than the width of the wooden frame. Zip tie the pvc to the low end of your tarp through the eyes. Tie a piece of thin rope to it in the middle, long enough to reach a few feet off the ground on the high side. Will keep the tarp from folding up into itself. The pvc will ride up and down the wooden frame using the rope.
Might be able to find a couple fans like this, and attach 2 to the center 2x4 roof support with some water pipe straps.

Have them facing down and towards the open ends. If you've got a couple scrap pieces of 2x6, screw them near the top of the slope to drop the fans down about 6", keeping them far enough away from the tarp so it doesn't catch.

The pvc pipe is a good idea. But you really think I need fans? It’s a pretty big gap on both ends wide open. Also 3/4 of the chain link is open. And the front where it slopes off. The tarp is really just covering the tops. Lots of air movements in there. And it comes off in the morning. Only put it up for rain today. Next 5 days no precipitation. It will be off.

Hell I don't know  Figured extra airflow couldn't hurt if humidity is an issue. Probably Wouldn't have to run them all the time, but if you had a pop up shower or some morning dew, might help dry them off quickly

Thanks man. Hope I don’t have to dry them off. If the tarp does it’s job. I just need to be on top of the forecast lol. I have no power in garden. That’s why I asked. With so much airflow I have no way to add fans. She strapped down pretty good too. Ahh shit. Imma just hope and a prayer on this one. 3-4 weeks.

So I was worried about a similar thing, especially since I woke up one morning and found myself in the middle of a cloud, Mets just say “heavy light misting” had me panicked as hell. I know air humidity an all that is a concern for mold I figured the less moisture the better. Not sure how big your grow is but what I did, for about a 10 x 15 space was just throw one of those 6ml plastic covering over top on nights where I I thought dew and mist would be a problem, I can get my cover up in literally 2-3 minutes if needed. Anyway if u use pvc hoops As a frame for this for example 1/2 PVC, u can use 3/4” pvc, for example, cut a little more than half length wise to make snap on clips, I use duct tape on the inside of my clips as a cushion. I clip one side down very low on one side and use the clips to hold it down on the other , depending on the size takes no time at all, hope that made sense

Thanks. I’m thinking of building a hoop house for next year using pvc. My grow is in previous pages of thread. I’ve built an awning of sorts using a blue tarp. Bungee cords to strap it down. Kind of a pain to put it up. But the idea is it’s only used when rain or as of next week wet flurry is in store. Should hopefully do for this year. Lots of airflow. It’s something anyways.

So got this up in time, rained all evening and night. Plants are bone dry, well everything around them is wet. Fairly easy to pull back the tarp. And secure it without removing it. So I’d say it definitely helped. Cool air is speeding up the ripening by the looks of it.
