Rain....lots of it

They were calling for high winds and lots of rain yesterday so I brought my girls inside for the day. They're in about their 6th-7th week of flowering.

I checked the weather this morning and it's supposed to rain today and the next two days with no chance of sun until Monday.

If I leave them out in the rain, they'll get waterlogged and I'm worried about bud rot. If I keep them inside, they get no sunlight, whatsoever, and sit in a semi dark room.... not like they'd get any sunshine outside, either, but at least they'd get SOME outdoor light, through the clouds.

Better to leave them inside for the next 3 days or put them outside to get rained on?


leaving them inside by a window isn't an option either because of the white stoner kitty in my picture. He likes to eat my plants. I have to lock them in a bathroom with a very small window.

Its raining here too and I too have the same problem.. I got them near windows so at least they get some light .. I was also thinking of hooking up a few Cfl's to give them some light

Hopefully everything turns out okay... worse case scenario, grab your valuables and leave like these people are doing.

He's not exactly a prize, either.

The rain has already damaged my green bell pepper plants and some flowers. My sunflowers are shot. I don't really care about those, as they were only grown to be camouflage for the girls, but if they die, I lose my camouflage. The cleome is still hanging tall...they're about 5' tall and in full bloom, but again, not worried about them. I want my girls to still be happy when they get some sun on Monday.

can't go invest in lights right now because I'm po and strapped for cash. Rain and waterlogged? .....or sun-deprived? Which is the lesser of those two evils?

Do you know that a green bell pepper is really a RED one that is picked before its ripe... If you let them go longer they will turn red ..

Yeah, I found that out when I went on vacation and came home to a plant full of red surprises.

Just watch the weather ,, If the sun peeks out .. then put them back out .. maybe put them close to a structure that way they dont get that wet .. I think they should be ok ..its not the 1st time it has rained ..

rain's not a problem.... it's the whole, not-being-able-to-dry-out-for-days thing that worries me.

after the rain will come the sun..Me myself Im not taking any chances .. Im not letting my buds get wet.. Its too close

It rains like hell here in Oregon, it NEVER hurt my outdoor girls, ever. I tarp them if it rains more then a day. Other then that they are free from dust & dirt and look GREAT! The girls are also tied up so a wet bud will not bring her to her knees, they are 8 feet tall. One day of rain and a week of sun and my girls shine on!
Once the kid comes home from college and brings my camera cord back I'll post pics.

I think you should be alright.. Just make sure they get air and when you're able, put them in a window.. even if you have to lock the kitty up.. whats a few hours in the bathroom gonna hurt the cat? I put mine in a room by it's self for three days whne the hurricane came through, and when I got home my leaves were dying and I eventually had to cut her down cause it was only getting worse.. So I would say, if you're able.. bring 'em in, but take the time to move them into a window for alittle while.. and make sure you've got fresh air flowing through the room they're in...

at the end of teh day, it comes down to what risk's are you willing to take,.. we all know budrot is not something you wanna deal with.. but bringing it inside for three days, with no sun, could forse an early harvest... so from my stand point, you're looking at no bud, VS some bud.. which is the lesser of those two evils?
