Rain water to water plants?

Special bond aside. Plants in the wild are not being fed through stagnant, roof collected, probably poorly maintained collection systems. IMHO its a lot different then it just being out in the rain. Unless that is being constantly circulated, its turning into a cesspool of all kinds of nasties. Id use that water all day long for house plants, and the flower beds around my house. But you wont see me feeding my girls with it.
Good to know, thank you for the info :-)

I used rainwater for almost a year in my old DWC system. I'd be more concerned about all the extra that is put in aside from chlorine. Chlorine off gasses when not under pressure so no biggie there, but the chlorimines and Floride almost need to be distilled to get rid of them. More than likely, unless you're in Cali, or NYC, or Flint MI, your tap is fine.

Why would roof water be stagnant?

Just answer it gents don't drag it out.

Excellent Q. The water you use is a critical choice.

Unless you live in a high smog city with noticeable air issues, it should be fine.

Want to be sure? Just collect some and test the ph and ppm.

You wont miss out using rain water
Thanks that's helpful. All I wanted was a simple answer like this. If people don't like my question don't click on it
