I need to raise to soils ph level and the soil is still moist . I was curious to know if i can throw some lime on top of the soil with a spoon and mist it ph level water. Will that raise the ph level a day or so ? Please respond thanks ..

dont use the dolomite lime. What u should do is ph your water, then take the run off and test that. If ph is low say a 5 then next time you water ph your water at 7 a few times then retest runoff water till you are at 6.5 The problem with dolomite is that you wont ever go low ph again but you can go to high which you wont be able to lower. Its better to just ph up your water level till you get your soil runoff to the correct ph

i am scared to wait till the soil dries up to pick the ph level up since it takes a while for my soil to dry up. i think i over watered it right after the transplant which kept my freakin soil moist for 9 days. i did the dolomite already with 3qt of a cup. i put it around the soil and mixed it with the first 2 inches of top soil.

Don't worry about the soil being damp. Mix 2 tbsps of lime to some water, then water your plant heavily, til the cloudy water starts running out the bottom. Then, if you watered thoroughly, your PH should come up to where you want it, and hold there. Let things dry out, as usual, and continue like you normally would. Just keep an eye on the PH, 'cause it might take more than one application of lime, hard to say. At any rate, it'll be much better than before.
