Rally

Even if the message is slightly diluted or shared, unity in numbers is important. Why is this so difficult for ppl to see...? maybe some prefer strong showing patient protection groups not exist. also, maybe ppl are lazy as hell. lmao
Ive thought about this, particularly the one big rally we had in the past. It seemed to me that there was unity & activism back then but then when certain groups or individuals have the ears of legislators...it's really easy to say look what "we" did. Some of the messages I heard at the past rally I did not agree with and I know we all won't agree on everything but I was left feeling used a bit. Hard for me to express but this is why I have second thoughts about attending other rallies.

^^^ couldnt agree more. Felt very much the same.

Proposal: Rally take over. Every major event, make sure its known that you are for "legalization", plane and simple. I represent no one, no one represents me.

It was said to me;
"If you do not fight a war because you are afraid that the ones on the front lines portray an image that falsely represents you, be prepared to be represent yourself as a prisoner of war."

yes legalize it so the lawyers and corporations can finish the plan! (facetious)

then the realsick patients will have access to buy it

and RJ reynolds and budweiser and big pahrma can add poison .....pkg it .....and sell it back to us

thru the health insurance companies and all the corporate products that will flood the market
smoking will become a thing of the past and stigmatzed like tobbacco

then they can drive us back underground where they really want us
and give control and all the gain and gro rights to a select few at the top

yes once they get complete legalization
then the federal govt will have to step in (mandate) and give up therest of therules they have created thru the heggilian dialectic they have used to obfuscate the real agenda

once its legal then we can become like colorado and washington.......6plants (wtf?)

>>>try the colorado and washngton forums and ask real growers how they are liking it.
...and who is going to reap the benefits

seems you guys are spinning in circles here trying to figure outthe best solution

>>that would have been to rally for ""patients"" rights
to transfer grow and share

not stores
that could give a fuck about our rights unless it makes them $$ withtheir leagl bloodsucking friends

fuk all the lawyers!
they are pulling your dicks and working both sides of the fence....

i have heard of one .....
he has over 500cases every year going since the law started (do you know how much $$that is???)
>he has allready tried a vending machine approach too

the dispensaries and lawyers can have all the gain and rights......sure

that is why they (the lawyers orchestrating everything) would not allow any patients to unionize here to protect themselves......

its gotta be thru the lawyers ($$$) and dispensaries.....
.so we can have the 'right' to purchase it with a card thru state sanctioned and monitored stores

>>"patients unions" would have been the best solution to protect what littlerights we had
...in every county with court room activism

little late now-

somthing the lawyers here have been keeping from happening from the beginning w their friends at cpu-
it would affect their ability to earn $$off of us-

nueterd CC is the best answer-yes-get in the box)
that would keep "everything" in the box they have created for us.......

i guess noone has realized that wereally have no law.......now-
or the fear they have generated to dispose of any activism

ask the guy who was in compliance with 1plant over(73)-that posted yesterday
or the hundreds of others that got no courtroom supportunless they paid$$ for it--

or anyone else that has tried but was unable to keep all the rules.....lol

yeah sure i am going to go to a rally to support>>' my right to buy it' @ an exorbitant rate from a club....pffft!

yes definately i want to support the >> clubs 'right to sell it to me' and take over what little rights i have left-
....sure that makes sense

nahhh if some of these "clubs" would have started pt groups to support them and our rights ......
instead of the backward model they have sold all you guys ......

yes support clubs right to sell it to you.:spew:...not your own

too bad mR c didnt start a patient union to support his market.....instead of a market to support the pts(backwards)

yeah im afraid FM are going to be a thing of the past soon....
except gc3 that will evolve into somthing else...
...im sure glad thy dont have pictures of me selling weed at these places

i never did- and never will
but i support the right......of patients

not dispensaries-

Seeing Budweisers ads the last couple years sounds like they have been planning to be involved. You know GRAB SOME BUDS!

EXACTLY!

u think thats coincedence........?

subliminal msgs......likein their adds

imo it would be best to >>call yur reps in >>your district and tell them >>"hell no" to dispensaries "right to sell to us"..
...
i allready called my rep and told his liason if he supports the dispensary bill i will do everything i can to get the fucker out of office next time hes up-

his secretary/liason said "thank you" for your comments-

the best thing imo would to be kill the dispensary bill and start over with ""our rights"" first-
not the few big $$funded dispensaries leading the charge-

imo i think its a good idea to chill for a minute and try and enjoy what ""verylittle"" we have and watch colorado washington shake out-

but who fucking cares what 'I' think-

when they allow us our right to share it for free or otherwise....
then i still wont support the motherfuckers!!

-->unless its a "patient run" format like FM-

yeah the lawyers.....corporations and dispensaries want you to think "legalization" is the answer......
they need "us" to open the door for them....but they will never tell you that!

>>>>fighting for >>'our' rights would have been the real answer.......

you think that marlborro pack is a joke?
you have no idea what RJ Reynolds really has in store....hahaha

i will never support somthing that makes it illegal for me
but ok for dispensaris and corporations and their legal bloodsucking $$$ lawyer friends...

like raw milk or a choice for my own health

yeah legalization with patients rights would have been the ideal format.......

that window has closed now imho.......
unless 10,000 of us rallyfor it!

or if you call being able to 'buy' it from dispensaries a patients right.......

i laugh my ass off over all these idiots here that boast about getting 250$z from the dispensaries
you can tell how long they have been in the game......

when in reality once the dispensaries get the right to sell the those motherfucking fools will be left out in the cold...... hahahahaha

they should visit denver-
the 30% clause to 'aquire' from cg means their friends.....

and you better be good!

limosnero turpene-

did they really charge 20$gr @ the rally for the folks on the busses.....!!.....??

that would make sense-

I hear ya buckaroo and agree on the most part. Although the part that the federal government/politicians play in this legal/corporate cesspool, grasping at power with their absurd classification of marijuana as a class I narcotic, needs to be held accountable before any true legalization (medicinal or other) can even truly begin.

my goal is just try and make someone think......

i dont care if anyone likes me or not......

if i made one person think about the 'equation' differently then i feel i may have made a difference....
that is my activism....
one guy and an ipad........powerful thing-

these two guys above me are why i like riu......
along with quite a few others....
my peeps:joint:

there some folks that "think" in here.....

plus it is a free speech forum......
totally free
to talk about anthing....without the wolf pack comin@u-
and i am sure the "other" group doesnt like t!

dont let me tell you about one of my friends brother who s a big dr doing cnsulting n all this with a small group of other powerful drs....
the are cnsulting for the tobbacco industry and have been for longer than you guys have had a law..........

just dont believe all the bullshit....

or ANY of the lawyers working in this...

Medical Marihuana supporters protest at state capitol

LANSING (WJRT) -(05/01/13) - Those in favor of Medical Marihuana were outside the state capitol Wednesday afternoon.

Inside, lawmakers are considering new restrictions to the state law that allows its use.

State Senator Rick Jones says there are 130,000 people in Michigan with marihuana cards. He doesn't believe that many people need them, but Medical Marihuana supporters don't want the laws changed.

In 2008, state voters approved the use of marihuana to relieve pain and other chronic ailments.

Caregivers and supporters of the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act stood on the capitol steps Wednesday afternoon for three hours to get a message across to law makers. They argue that lawmakers are denying access to the medicine that people received.

Len Tobias uses Medical Marihuana on a daily basis.

"I've had small strokes. A lot of small strokes. It helps me get through the day. It's not where it kills the pain all day, but it makes it so I can work all day," he said.
Last month changes to the law went into effect that require stricter screening by doctors and ban caregivers convicted of certain felonies in the past decades.
These protesters say a lawsuit could follow if lawmakers don't stop hurting those who need the medical attention.

He doesn't think all of the state leaders are being fair when it comes to the use of Medical Marihuana.

"What we voted for wasn't what we're ending up with now," he said. "If we could legally trade with other patients, other caregivers, that's what we need to do. It's got to be fair, it's just got be even across the board. I don't know if they could ever figure out a way to tax it or not, that wouldn't bother me."

Last month, changes to the law went into effect that require stricter screening by doctors and ban caregivers convicted of certain felonies in the past decades.
These protesters say a lawsuit could follow if lawmakers don't stop hurting those who need the medical attention.
"The patients, caregivers in the United States are suing them for our civil rights being violated," said Chris Baldwin.

Senator Jones says even with the changes to the Michigan Marihuana Law last year, they will continue look at >>>more restrictions to the legislation.

MORE RESTRICTIONS..... ???

Oh , by now we all know Jones is a former Sheriff with a deep personal vendetta !

This assclown needs to move on as his words have grown old even with the general public . Bla Bla Bla

You would think that some pothead killed his family by how he reacts to the law or maybe he is Harry Anslingers reincarnation !

Restrictions are biased and getting us all nowhere but that is where they want us .

The jokes on them in the end as the people will continue to make there own laws and rules verses some made up shit by the opposition , there is more loyalty and trust locked in the medical files than you could ever find in the files of the house members present and past , fucking dirtball politicians . Of course there are dirtballs on this side of the fence but surely not as many as in the house if we did the math and looked at the ratio present .

I stand on the Red Road and here there are no leaders or superiors , simply equality and nothing less . It is unique to say the least knowing that in the end I am Indian and my views will never agree with the Govt nor my own Tribal leaders for they too are biased and clueless .

So based on that article, what was the message being promoted by the rally? I see Jones got his point across, but what was the rally for? Legalization? Dispensary legislation? Was there some sort of press release stating the goals of the rally given to the media? Rallies are helpful if they are focused and have a specific message.
