lmao maybe 50-60 years ago, but today you are wrong. We are living in a time where there is finally a entire major party that actually represents 100% of it's nation's citizens. I do understand how people get tricked into thinking otherwise though.

What Biden said during his speech at his inauguration:

“A cry for racial justice some 400 years in the making moves us. The dream of justice for all will be deferred no longer,” Biden said in his inaugural speech.

What Rand Paul said about that:

"I feel personally offended".

What a douche.


Paul also apparently objected to Biden’s saying that “there is truth and there are lies, lies told for power and for profit.”

“Calling us people who don’t tell the truth,” Paul continued. “ ‘And going forward we’re not going to have manufactured or manipulated truth.’ That’s another way of saying ‘All of my opponents manufacture or manipulate the truth and are liars.’ ”

In that last sentence, Paul does explicitly what he did implicitly on the issue of race: conflate Biden’s constrained criticism with a broad attack on Republicans generally. Biden never specifically mentioned who was telling those lies, although the focus was obvious. He never even called out the extremism he was targeting as being right-wing. But for Paul, the implication was clear: Biden thinks Republicans are racist liars.

So, in the interview referenced in an earlier post, George Stephanopoulos said Trump lied and Rand angrily denied that HE is a liar, refusing to acknowledge that George did not say he was. In his inaugural address, Biden named no names. When Biden talked about lies told for power and profit, Rand said he was offended for the Republican Party. His followers are going to lap that shit up. They love them their grievances, real or not.
