Rapitest 4 way Analyzer, leaves curling under

Good evening all,
So my babies are 17 days old and since I put them under the 400hps they are really growing. They were in 4inch pots to start, and this Sunday I transplantes them into 8 inch pots. I have been using Fox Farm Ocean soil and I have been watering with bottle water and Superthrive. I have not used any ferts yet, because the Fox Farm is supposed to be ample for the first 30 days. I bought a 4 way meter that has Fertility, Light, Moisture, and PH on it. You just flip the switch for the one you want. This is my problem. I have not watered the plants since Sunday when I transplanted them. They got a good soaking then. I used the meter today after watering them and letting them drain. It regestered a 2 1/2 around the plants. I did not think this was too much water, but now the leaves are curling under like it is too much water. My water PH is 7 and so is the soil. The leaves are not showing any signs of fert burn and there are no bugs. Temp went down last night to about 60, but it was 70 to 75 all day with humidity staying about 40-50. I can only guess too much water. Anyone have any ideas???

do those 4 way testers test ph accurately?
because i have one too, and my ph reads 7 for water and soil as well.

I just got a rapitest ph reader today and it always says 7 in water. I think that's because it's not supposed to read water alone, you have to mix soil with it until its muddy. I found it gives a better reading if you mix some soil from your pot with the water you're using in a large shot glass or something and then test it in that.

Your analysis by LOOKING at the plant is more accurate than the meter. YOUR EYES are the best measuring device made!! Go with your observation .

The rapitest 4-way is not ment for testing water. And to get an accurate pH or nute reading, the soil must be wet. Best time to test is about 30 min after feed/water. Also, it takes a few minutes for the meter to stabilize.

I bought one of those and promptly returned it. Nothing it ever said was right. I think those kinds of meters don't work for shit unless you spend a lot of money to get a good digital one.

like someone said, your eyes are better
