Rapitest PH/Moisture tester

So I finally got my PH/Moister tester....it's a cheap Rapitest tester I got on Ebay...I'm sure someone out there has a similar product

It lists a few different levels of moisture; A, B, C, D - Which one do you want your soil to stay around? It's got a rather large list of plants and which level to keep them at, but obviously Cannabis isn't on there ;)

I've heard it grows very similarly to a Tomato plant, is this correct?

Yeah I didn't do my research before purchasing and I figured I could stick this down into liquids and test those also, but apparently you can't :(

I tested one day after watering, and my plants were on the 'dryest' level! One day after! So I don't know what to do here....go by what people say (3 or 4 days) or this little tester?

yea....its funny you feel like you need stuff to help you out...and I am mnore and more just believeing in my fell....and look....but I thought I would get the meter just to give hopefully some more confidence? but I guess we'll see. I have been going by feel since the start

Yeah see originally I was going to do that for my first grow, I didn't want to spend a lot of money

But then I hear everyone talk about how easy it is to overwater...so I bought one. Now this thing is telling my my plants are bone dry and they need water, even though it's only been 2 days....?!?!?!

Who knows...I think I'm going to make my own educated decisions instead of trusting this piece of crap

yea I totally hear ya.....I was so worried about overwatering too. and people talking about root rot and stuff. But I have been really careful...and use the touch feel to my finger....above and below (i.e., in the plant pot holes inthe bottom)...but I still don't know for sure? I guess it remains a little of a guessing game and if you had a really expensive meter, then maybe you could be sure....but then I also just look at the plant and feel its leaves...texture and stuff? I dunno....this is my first gro so I am really sort of winging it.....

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do

If it's dry a few inches in, I'm watering it. I like your idea of checking the soil from the bottom using the drainage holes, that sounds like a pretty good idea

I also foliage feed every now and then, spray the leaves pretty good with water.
