WTF 18 views and no replys.my 28, two week old northernlights, and hash plant seedlings are almost ready for my big room. my room is 10x10x8. i have a 1000w mh. will this be enough lumens for that size of room?
i don't think i am AxJxAxX. i'm thinking my 1000 mh might be 100,000 lumens. divide that by a 100 sqft room and what da ya have. 1000 lumens p/sqftHey Cloned,
I am dealing with the same exact issue and I come to realize if its anything over 3000 lumens per square foot your ok. I know the sun is like 10000 lumens per square foot on a hot summer day but not all of us have that much $$$ to put into lights. Also, try to get 1 bulb that is HPS/MH to keep a LITTLE bit of the blue spectrum. I have heard and seen a few rooms now that use 1 1000w HPS w/ 1 1000w HPS/MH and the results are very nice. I would take the lumens you have divide it by the square feet and see if your over 3000. Hope this helps
Packing them tight always helps too! Also, you can assume 30 - 50 watts/per square foot.Pack all ur plants into about half of the room... Ur light should be plenty if you reduce the sq ft. of the grow space. Good luck
