Ray Rice cut by Ravens, suspended by NFL indefinitely

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Ray Rice won't get another chance with the Baltimore Ravens after all. There's no guarantee he gets another chance from the NFL either.

The Ravens announced they've terminated Rice's contract Monday afternoon, hours after TMZ.com posted video of the embattled running back punching his then-fiancée during an altercation at an Atlantic City hotel in February.

Do you think the punishment fits the crime?
Is the NFL doing this for politics?
Will Obama get involved?

Personally, I think his punk ass should spend some time in prison.

It's the NFLs fault

RR should sue the shit out of them

He should have gotten a one year suspension then able to come back, but th NFL handed down the punishment without EVER seeing the tape

Once the public found out the NFL rendered its decision without EVER seeing the tape, the public was calling for the NFLs head, RR became the fall guy

Ha, Karma is a bitch, finally got what he deserved. The Mike Tyson of the NFL. He'll be broke within the decade, probably mortgaged and loaned out to the max banking on his "future contract earnings". What is it about Baltimore and thugs named Ray Ray? Wife beaters and murderers,

The NFL was put on trial by the media, the day the tape was went public, the media forced the NFL to hand down it's sentence.

Ray Rice needs to occupy a 6 x8 cell and then some anger management classes.
After serving his debt to society, he should be eligible to play again. IMO

How the fuck does anybody know whether or not the bitch deserved to get an ass whooping, and why hasn't anybody bothered to ask?

This bitch could have needled, and needled, and nagged, and nagged, and put this dude through emotional and physical hell until the day he got pushed TOO fucking hard, and finally decided to retaliate. Why is it automatically the dudes fault? She could have used her position as a "woman who can't get hit by a man" to physically abuse the fuck out of this dude at home, all because she KNOWS the dude isn't going / supposed to fight back. That shit happens ALL the time too. Crazy bitch can also be after his money and deliberately provoked this dude knowing SHE would get the sympathy from the public and the divorce court. Bitches do THAT shit all the time as well.

Just because a woman gets her ass beat by a dude doesn't mean it's always his fault, and it shouldn't make a difference anyway considering we're all "equal", right?

Looks like they were fighting before they got in the elevator.
He is a pro athlete and should have never hit her.
Hard to see the swing itself, maybe she tripped in those heels and whacked her head?

She forgave him, why can't we? Besides, Baltimore is going to have to go without much of a running back now.

So, this chick gets knocked out by her boyfriend, forgives him, marries him and some asshole organization comes along and makes him unemployed for something both of them have moved past??

We have all been told from childhood not to hit girls but arent there football players under indictment for murder?? Taking everything in context this was a simple assault.

The NFL is a private organization and can do whatever it wants but it is hurting the woman as well.

There are very few exceptions for a man hitting a woman, especially with his fist, this obviously wasn't one.
Ray Rice needs to do some time inside, lets see how tough he feels when he's disrespected in there.

Prior to the video release, the NFL made a ruling on punishing domestic violence violators.
Six games for the first offense, and banished from the league for second.
Unless there is evidence of a prior conviction, Rice got shafted by the NFL, who in a chicken shit way, sacrificed a player to satisfy the media.
