This is my first post on rollitup just as the seeds for my first grow are about to arrive, and I'll be doing DWC in 5 gallon buckets if i dont finish my project on time, but I don't think that will happen with your help
I'm going to be building a 9 bucket RDWC system. Here's the thing, I have 1.2x1.2×2m grow tent, and the reservoir will have to be left outside of it. The holes on the buckets will be done very low, for maximum drainage, but the pipes connected to the buckets will return to the reservoir through what was intended to be cable management features... This will force me to have different heights in the tubes themselves...
Let's see:
We start outside, in the reservoir, with 2" pvc leaving it, at a height of about 1cm (0.4"). This height is kept until we reach the entrance to the tent, and there, with 2 Ls, the height goes from 1cm to 20cm (8")and then the pvc enters the tent. Here, with another 2 Ls, it goes down to the ground once again, about 1cm (0.4"), to the height of the buckets' holes. This is kept as the pvc goes through all 9 buckets, and just as it is about to leave the tent, I reduce the diameter of the pvc to match a pump which then pumps up, which then goes to another L connection, to lead the pvc matching the diameter of the pump output and at a 20cm height, back to the reservoir...
are these differences too big? Ill be moving at least 210L (55gallons) through this system, with a 1000L/h will I have any problems?
