Re-use of soilless growing medium (Pro Mix - HP)

Started to use Pro Mix- HP and I was wondering if because its a soilless mixture can it be re-used over and over? I suppose the question can be for any type of soilless medium. Can you mix a batch with say half new and half used? Seems like a waste to discard it after one grow. Can it be revitalized by adding something to it? I would be interested in knowing what others do or your thoughts on this?
Thank you

I duno, some people re use it some don't. Personally I don't. What I do is mix it into my compost pile and also use it for my outdoor weed and or ornamental planter boxes etc. Till into native soil for in ground weed planting
If you re use it I'd suggest adding more lime in because what was in there is likely gone or almost gone.
I re use my buddy's coco too. All gets tossed into a bin and used for ornamentals. Then that gets tossed into the ornamental ground flower beds in the late fall.

I re use mine, I mix Gaia green dry amendments with pro mix and re amend with around half of what I originally put in. I'm on my third grow with the soil I'm using in my current run, I also have my my last grows soil cooking for my next round will be its third round.

I always chucked the root balls thinking the coco was done with until I read about recycling coco.

I never realised what I was throwing away with each crop.

I reuse. It sits under snow for 3 months at least after it was rained on. I don’t overfeed anyway. If it starts looking tired I’ll amend it with fresh Pro Mix.

As far as Pro Mix that stuff goes for $65 a bale here so I’ve switched to Sunshine 4 High Porosity. Needs a bit more perlite but that’s easy enough and at $35 a bale it’s a bargain.

I might have to look for Sunshine. Went and got 2 bales of Pro Mix for 130. Yikes. It's not at any of the Big Box stores like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes? I'm not in a legal state and have looked for Pro mix there but I don't think I remember seeing Sunshine either. I could be wrong though.

Then again after reading this thread I might have to Reuse it to save a couple of dollars lol.

Home Depot carries Sunshine.

They have Promix HP at Lowes around here. $24 for 2.2 cu ft.

I've been reusing my grow medium for years without any issues.

If reusing add half cup garden lime per sq ft.
