Re-veg straight from harvest experiment

Just as the title says I’m going to see if I can’t reveg this plant. It’s an ILGM critical mass strain. Just harvested this one today and going to leave the bottom popcorn vegetation and buds and see if I can revert her with 24 hour lights. I don’t really need to, I am just curious as to if it can be done and if so, I may take a few clones off of the plant and dump it. Idk the plan yet. I have 4 other strains going now so two more plants will be joining this one soon. Just thought it would be a fun experiment.

Strain: Critical Mass
Tent: Ventilated with carbon filter Vivosun 2x4
Lights: (2) viparspectra UL 300 watt (268 watts total) Blurples
Soil: 3 gallon heavily spent FFHF
Nutrients and Water: Fox Farms Trio and R/O water

Plan is tomorrow or Saturday to punch some holes in the soil and sprinkle Mychorrizae into them and do a light feeding.

Never done this before, probably not worth it, but I have this tent open at them moment and just got these lights so here it goes.

Decided to punch holes and water tonight. Went ahead and punched 6 holes 3/4 way to bottom of pot and placed Mychorrizae in each hole. Followed that with filling holes with new FFOF and fed plant with R/O water at a PPM of 450 of the FF Grow Big nutrients. Time will tell

Well, hell.... I was looking forward to this thread. I just chopped my Oregon CBD Elektra, and am doing the same right now. It has worked for me in the past. I cut clones in the spring, then flowered and harvested the plant. Quite a good harvest. It's worth it, if you can get it to hang on.

Sorry, my phone sucks ass for taking pictures....

Still need to cut the flowers off yet.

How hard did you hit it with the nutes? Is the Grow Big for veg? (I use Ocean Forest but I'm not familar with their nutes)

So is it definitely easier to reveg than to take the lower branches and try to clone??

I think that my big issue is that these plants A. We’re neglected to begin with for a period of time B. Trimmed way too much off the plant and didn’t leave enough healthy growth at the bottom.

I did do Grow Big and yes that’s veg nutes. That is what a couple of the YouTube videos I watched suggested. Obviously this is possible, and I will likely try it on a future plant, but be more conscious on what I’m going to do prior to chopping so I can leave a decent amount of leaves on instead of the small amount I did. Yours looks promising Doug. You appear to have quite healthy growth left on and you left a fair amount on so I suppose that is probably going towork in your favor.

I do have the plant in my small veg tent still, but I’m quite positive it’s on it’s way out as the leaves are starting to shrivel and crumble away

Not in my opinion. I built a aero cloner for like ~40 bucks. (Pipe and a Harbor Freight pump. I had the tote and used foam laying around.) That thing clones at close to 100%. Even roses and other stuff. I do pull for clones before/when I harvest. Then I try to reveg it. I start my seeds to grow inside over the winter, so the lights are running anyways. May as well try to reveg one. The harvest is WAY better the second time around (for me at least).

And I'll try to get up as high as I can for the clone clippings. Cut the buds off. The lower hard, branch like stuff hasn't worked so good for me....

Disclaimer- this is only my 3rd grow. I still suck at growing and curing. For some reason, the cloning has been easy. Guess we'll see how this reveg goes...... Lol

There's a thread here called the reveg corner, I assumed you took advice from there and then attempted your mission. I was just going to half-ass it when it came time, but only because the strain in question clones didn't take prior to flower, then I seen your post. This plant is frosting the most but only the smoke test will tell. Actually there are two, one is frosty and one is a quick, tight bloomer so again, smoking it will be final test as to whether to reveg or not.

Honestly Oscar, I cut too much off on the first one I tried, and it shriveled away too. I think this thread is still a winner. Well, if my shit doesn't die in a week. Hopefully spliff tries it too....

You usually only reveg if you get something special and you didnt take an earlier clipping which can be done at any stage but cuttings root better while in a veg state so its bettr to reveg the plant and then take new cuttings and just flower out the original again as it yeilds are way more..
Once regrowth starts trim the rootball and repot in fresh soil
