Re Vegging? 2nd Harvest?

Well just like the title says I'm looking for more information about "re vegging" or going back into veg after a successful harvest. Has anyone tried? Successes or failures?

Just curious.

Is easy to do, put the plant in veg conditions (less light, 18/6or 24/0, more Nitrogen, more humidity) If the plant is in advanced flower time, it will cost a lot to reveg, even more tan a month, you will find that hundreds of branches appear from old flowering points..and leaves will be different without a saw form, you will have to do a lot of pruning work to leave only a few branches.. Try to pre-cut all material that have the most mature flowers and start from flowers that are less mature..I mean...more "green material".
But anyway, is easy, but for most people is not worth the while due to a extended times and maybe a little senescense or lack of vigor and the increase of plant height. People usually do it when they have not other solution in order to preserve special genetics.

I did it last time and it was kind of fun and cool learning experience. At least you know your plants will be females. I cut down to about 8 inches. Like nachooo says the new growth comes out of the buds. So you can't lolipop but have to leave some leaves and buds on the bottom. Those buds wind up looking really weird. Nothing happens for 3 to 4 weeks and then the growth starts. Harvested buds were good quality. Dried out fast but not sure if that had anything to do with it being a reveg.

I have done it a lot also,
Here are some pics of Last season

While harvesting my indoor
I removed all but the bottom 10%

Put them back on a veg lighting schedule, a little grow nutes.

Once they were fully vegging I put them outside in june.

I really didn't train or care for them
Like I usually would and they still turned out decent.

It served my purpose at the time.

Have done it many many times. Usually to get clones to mother once i figure I like something. I have also done like above and put them outside with great results.
I know people and have also myself done 2-3 cycles through revegging. I can say on the rare occasion you may find a strain that does not like it. I have had some take up to 30 days or more under 24 light.
Short answer yes you can do it with great success.
Cheers :)

I mostly do it to preserve a strain I like and I didn't take a clone from.

If it turns out nice I reveg it.
Most people keep a clone or mother
Until they see if its a keeper. That way is safer but Its just a step I don't feel like doing and my success rate is good enough I cant warrant the extra work

This is a me thing, not recommending it.
If you lose the only plant you have don't be mad at me. lol

Exactly my reason too lol plus I just dont have the room atm

Revegging like stated above is great for growers without space. If you don't have a dedicated veg room/tent to keep clones/mothers of all your flowing plants then revegging the keeper of the flower run is a great way to preserve the genetic. Have done it several times.

This was a stick with two tiny nugs left on it in mid October.
Ive takrn about 15-20 clones since. It took about 1.5 months to get to where I could take clonesView attachment 4077361
My Goji OG looks just like that after 5 weeks. I could't believe the amount of new branches that started to grow out after only 2 weeks on one of the Goji girls.

I had 4 plants that turned out badass that I didn't take clones from. They all had 4 branches each so I just left the bottom nug of each branch on the plant. 4 total nugs each. Put them under a 400 watt MH and 18/6. Fed them small amounts of veg food and in 2 weeks the Goji started. A few days later the LA Sage took off, then the other Goji at 3 weeks and finally the OG18 started at 4 weeks. Each plant was a monster so if I get 75% of what they originally gave me I'll be a very happy person.

I got a white rhino × mazar I want to re-veg for clones soon. Figured I'll take the top Buds and let the smaller buds finish up, and then I'll leave the absolute bottom buds to re-veg. Planning on giving it a big shot of nitrogen to get it started after a flush

The other thing I don't know if we mentioned and it may be obvious but
I will say it just in case.

Once the plant takes off again in veg there will be a bunch of ratty looking
Bud fragments at the bottom.

I take all that off so it don't mold later.
