Got some cannabutter cooking up at the moment.
Can't wait. :D
1.5 oz of semi dried trim and there's about 7-8x that amount yet to be chopped.

Here's a shot of the trimmed branch, a lot of little leaf still in there, I'm happy with my first attempt though.
Also scored 331g of some really nice looking butter (half butter half coconut oil actually)
I licked my fingers after straining with the cheesecloth and felt a little relaxed half hour later so I can't wait for a full dose.

After about 20 hours of trimming over several days I'm finally done..
Can someone critique my first attempt at trimming? This pic is of the last cola I did and had been sitting for 5 hours already so go easy....
Any one care to guesstimate a final weight? 13 branches in total each look to be holding atleast an ounce each... a pound of dried and cured would be awesome!

Honestly if that bud is solid that looks like more than an ounce per section dude. Nice job and post a final weight.

It is all solid bud, half the larger popcorn left for my stash and the rest is boiling nicely right now.
I say about an ounce each but some are well over and some are possibly under, being my first time I can't be sure from wet to dry weight and size difference.

Just chopped up and weighed the first branch that come down, the first picture of the lone branch I posted (a good five days before the rest)
62 grams :D
Most of the buds were giving me that nice "snap" sound but a few were still a bit moist so I'll keep an eye on them in the jars.
I'll post a total weight of all branches once done.
Also scored about 2kg of some really potent butter, one cookie or brownie, body stoned for hours... can't believe I havent been doing this for longer.
Check out them crystals!!! Ain't like nothing I've ever purchased.
I'll be growing two outdoor next season with proper preparation and wire fencing for support, but for the meantime you should check out my first indoor grow journal!

I'll repost the weight for these jars in a week or two, still some moisture to be lost and a couple of tiny stems to trim!

WOW.
30 oz curing in jars, 1 oz of popcorn bud for my personal stash.
At least 2-3 oz didn't snap right off the branch but was very close so I'm guessing between that curing and a bit more of a stem trim I may lose and ounce or two.
Very happy with my first grow ever!!!! Here I was hoping for 10 oz hahah
So that's almost 2 pound from seed, was topped once at about 2 foot and was always kept well watered and fed.
Start to finish, almost 10 months from a seemingly sativa dominant 5ft tall, 5 ft round beauty.
Might go roll a jay. :)

Should also add it was given a small bit of LST at about 3 - 4 ft. I put a dozen tent pegs in the ground and tied a branch to each with some twine.

Wow... You vegged for 10 months? Or what how did you veg inside? That's impressive. How's the smoke after fully dried and somewhat cured

10 months from seed, it was indoors for about 2 weeks in a jiffy pellet on a windowsill with no nutes just tap water.
Transplanted to a 12l bucket and pit outdoors and when it outgrew that it went into the earth.
Smoke is wonderful, still a touch harsh and green tasting.
The buds have a very strong fruity almost cough medicine kind of smell, hard to describe.... any idea on strain based on that?

Now it's had a little cure time it's starting to take on more of a piney smell and taste..
Nothing but good reports from friends who have had some.

Like above posts ^^^ I'd go 17 more, chop, hang whole plant for 5-10 days or so, depending on humidity.
then... Trim.
Thats how dad did it, that's how I do it.
