although the difference on options and exp is greatly appreciated.

it’s a Sativa Auto,been growing for 3 months now..maybe more. I did 18 hours of light but then Realised Autos isn’t bothered about timing of lights so I switched to 12 /12..
I use Hess for my nutrients.
it’s just taking forever!
 
You read wrong and now it’s taken three months and you’re going to chop early because you’re going away which you didn’t plan around with your plant. Damn I’m out of breath.

you dropping the light hours is what’s making take forever.

How often do you need to water?
 
Well the supplier said it’s 8-9 weeks...So I allowed another 4 weeks..3 months you be sure. It’s been 3 and being told it’s another few weeks lol..it’s my first plant..timing of things has just got ..aaaa.
I’ve g13, lemon for next production..without any holidays for 6 months ha

its taking longer for these reasons .....

1. Autos get done when they get done.
Regardless of breeder

2.Sativas can run longer than expected

3. You will take a great looking plant and end up smoking a salad.

Yeah I did read Sativas actually take longer.., smoking a salad? Nooo..I’ll just nip across the border prior to vacation and get some chronic :)

If you’re going to correct someone. THEY’RE called stigmas but also referred to on here as pistils. Yes you are doing it wrong that’s why people are laughing at your post.

plant completeness is a bunch of steps. Just like cutting open the steak. It’s the final step in checking. You don’t check until you think the steak is done. Same thing applies here. When most of the pistils have turned color and receded into the swollen calyx that’s a sign that it’s ready. (Like the outside of the steak appearing cooked) THEN you can check trichomes once you’re pistils (stigmas) are ready.

No one wants a raw steak but the chef isn’t cutting the steak until the rest of the signs of it being done are there. You’re skipping all the other steps and just checking trichomes.

looking at the trichomes this early will only give false positives because people see amber on the leaves and want to chop.
