Ready for harvest?

Hello everyone!
I'm not sure when to start chopping. This girl is in her 12th week of flowering and there are hardly any trichomes. This is my first grow and may have already ruined her. :( I read somewhere that when about 2/3 of the trichomes are red it's time to harvest. But if there are hardly any how do you know when? The few that are there are still white it looks like.

What do you think?

Thanks

Beauknowsdiddly :)

No or little trics I would wait, what happened to all the leaves? Did they die off or did you chop them, this might be one of the issues as they bring the stuff up to the buds? I know some people do this but I only trim them off if they start to yellow and die during the flower period.

get a scope and check the trichomes... i take my girls down when the trichomes are 25% amber color.

its when the trics are mostly cloudy to amber you need a 30x zoom micro scope. I would probally pull here now though. she looks like shes on her death bed. you did flush her right? and what strain you got?

12th week of flower?? I would almost say its Over ripe. =/ what strain is this? is it mostly sativa? How long have those leaves been yellowing? I don't mean to be rude...but from the looks of it Id get some new seeds going and chop her and enjoy the smoke that you did get.

it's bubblicious which is a hybrid and no I did not chop the leaves. :( they've been yellowing and falling off for quite some time. So chop?

CHOPPER DOWN!

Dry her til the bud's a bit "dry" on the outside, yet the stalk/stem still has enough moisture to bend rather than snap. Snapping means you went too far, but if it bends quite a ways before it "snaps" then it's ready to be cured in a jar. Put your buds in the jar once they've dried enough for curing, and let em sit in the jar for about 3 - 4 days, burping the jar regularly and taking the bud completely out of the jar while you wait. I heard this works wonders. :)

Awesome ty guys. I have a couple clones that actually took on my first try that look pretty decent but right now I'm doing them in dirt. Hopeflully I can afford the hydro stuff on the next go around.

Is it a good idea to use the stems and leaves for compost?

use them and make hash. the leaves have trichomes on them as well. you could even smoke them and prolly get high i havent tried it though. look up hash making on youtube i like to do the dry ice method.

and jorge cervantes or whatever did clones in dirt on the ultimate grow dvd if i remember correctly.
