Ready to flower or not ? (pics)

Hi guys

Wondering if my 18 white widows are ready to flower yet? in the last 10 days they have soared. Now standing almost 16 inches tall.

The room is only 8ft in height. So i'm thinking do I flower now or wait until they are 2ft tall ? They will be flowering under 12/12 two 600w hps lamps.

There are alternating nodes on the branches but not the main stem (see pic).

And there are also some pistols appearing between the branches (see pics).

I currently run a 20/4 light schedule, down recently from 24hrs constant.

I am now in Week 4 of Veg. They were from feminized seeds, so they are all about 6 weeks old including germination.

would be better if you could see the whole plant but your showing pre-flowers so technically you could flower, depends on what you want from your plants, i'd be tempted to go another week or 2 if you have room.

Yeah I can go another 2 weeks MAX. Should I ideally wait for all the nodes to alternate? or is it just the ones on the branches that will?

Is the sign of pre-flowers a sign of sexual maturity (and that they are female?)

I would wait for alternating odes on the main stalk. You can put them into flower when they are not quite mature and they will finish up and start flowering when they are ready. You have plenty of height in that space so you could be fine waiting another 2 weeks. I have never been able to tell sex before flowering. That is why I grow from clones.

18 6 ft plants will take up a lot of space, not just vertical space. Think about that. I'd flower now.

i'm with illigal, with that many plants you can afford to flower early anyway, if you had one plant you might want to get as much out of it as possible.

the pre flowers in your pics are female, make sure they are the same on every plant and you should be good to go. Keep a close eye on every plant until your done, wouldnt want one plant hermin and ruining the whole crop.

dont worry bout the alternating node thing, i've seen flowers over 3 months old with hardly any alternating nodes, pre-flowers are the thing to look out for.

there now upto 17inches,

80% of them are now all showing preflowers, like the pics.

I will post some pics over the weekend of the ones that are not, so someone can verify if i have a male. Cheers.

I was gonna say lettem go for 2 more but I missed that you had that many, I would prob flower now as Illegal said.

you could flower now or wait untill they are sexually mature... looks like the plant in the first pic almost has alternating internodes. veg out one more week or soo an they should all have it
