Ready to flower?

My plant is about 8 inches tall and I'm trying to keep it short so I started to flower it. Is this tall enough for a decent yeild? Indica Strain. And Should I leave my fan on it 24/7 during this time?

Start now, your looking at having a 2 foot tall plant in another 3-4 weeks.

My fans are on when my lights are on.

Yeah, you might get close to an ounce, probably more like a strong 1/2.

When to put into flower depends on space allowance. I use Bushmaster** to try and keep my plants at 18"-24", fully stretched. I'm putting these in at 16"-17" . . . my friend didn't and wrote that his stretched 10" just last night, his 3rd of 12/12. So you can imagine how tall and lanky they often end up. I think mine are done stretching, at day 10 since they went into 12/12 and day 4 since pistils showed.

What node do I cut to top it?

Top of stem, pinch off the small leaves starting to develop. This should split your cola into two.

how long after i top it should i leave it in veg?

depends on how tall u want it to end up... i start off with no more than a foot of veg .. ive had plants almost tripple in size during flower mode....

to keep it compact i would get ur lights as close as possible ( if it doesnt make ur hand burn ur not going to hurt the plant, if ur using cfls to veg u want to lower ur light about a quarter inch off the top of the plants..and when u top it wait until u have at least 6 tru leaf sets i count the one closest to the bottom, once topped just dip it if u have clonex or a cloning gel. if not ive always had much success by scraping the bottom of the stem (lightly about a half inch...then i put it in a plain glass of water about three quarters of an inch....change the water in the cup at least once a day...in about 5 days u may start seeing roots on ur cutting but it sometimes takes longer! anyhoy wait until ur plant gets a foot tall and go to 12/12 and flower it... top it for better yield ....good luck

if you are still in veg mode than u can wait to go 12/12 until its about a foot tall
if you are already in flower mode then keep it at 12/12
top the plant above the 6th node and u can grow it out until your colas reach a foot tall in veg and then go to 12/12 to flower
from the soil to the top of the plant no more than a foot in veg
keep ur light as close as possible and monitor during flower and adjust accordingly for the most compact, highest yield potential for your plants

funny that you asked that cause thats exactly what i did to my baby i have right now, i topped it about 3 in a half weeks into veg and turned the lights to 12/12 the next day, about a week later the plant repaired it self growing 2 main colas Y and is now starting to flower 2 weeks later. cut the newest set of leaves growing up at the top
