Ready to Flush?

Hey Guys, I'm almost finished my first flower cycle (I think?). I know I have probably 2 more weeks or so before cutting them...My question is do you think I have enough time before cutting them to hit them with one more feeding of nutes before finishing them off with water or should I just stick with water from here on out? I was hoping to fatten them up more but don't want to do so at the cost of having extremely harsh hitting weed. Here are some pictures so hopefully someone with some experience can help me out a little. Thanks

Long answer: There are a couple of incorrect assumptions in your questions, figure those out and you'll know what to do.

- You cannot 'feed nutes to plants'. Your question should be: "should I add more nutes to the medium" and the answer to that is hard to give without knowing what was in the medium and what you put in it.

- you won't get 'extremely harsh hitting weed' from not flushing (and starving), at most you can get that from overfertilizing and not drying and curing properly. So, if you haven't put too much nutrients in the medium, there's no need to flush. Just try to keep them green till the end.

Short answer: yes, they look a little pale, just continue feeding.

Great garden!
Don't ruin it at the end.

Please don't deprive the ladies of everything they need at the most critical time in their life. If you want to see those buds continue to swell then don't starve them, feed them. Nutes are not stored in the buds, they are stored in the leaves.

I have done experiments with sister clones and have found that when I flush i lose out on yield with no change in taste or smoothness. A proper dry/cure is how you get the taste and smoothness you desire.

Do a test for yourself. Flush some and feed the others. See for yourself that flushing is for toilets.

I'm using soil ( roots organic 701 ) and the nutrients are the general organic line and I'm just following the feeding chart.

sounds good to me . I'm using the general organics line so I'm guessing that's fine for what your saying. Like I said this is my first grow and I've come this far and the plants look alright to me... It would be a shame to do something stupid and fuck them up

they look great, but they're not really close to being ready to come down imo, at least another 3 weeks, if not a bit more..
my $.02
Oh really? That's both good news and horrible because I did want them to get a bit fatter but at the same time was hoping for them to be finished for a wedding mid July but them coming out good is far more important then the wedding haha thanks for your .02 cents though haha

According to flushing myths:

You don't need to flush in soil.

You don't need to flush if using organics.

In all reality,on a molecular level, chem and organic nutes are exactly the same. For example, the plants don't uptake bat shit in organics, they use the nitrogen ion. With chemical nutes they don't uptake the flashy label, they use the SAME nitrogen ion.

So, more reasons to not flush. If in doubt do some of each. No matter what you should always be doing some sort of experiment with something. I always say "the light is on anyway, might as well use a corner of the room to learn something new".

Enjoy that harvest in a few weeks. Be sure to send me a sample of both flushed and unflushed bud so I can see if it made a difference in your garden.

Sounds good I won't flush then... This being my first time I don't want to experiment too much but the next cycle I will. I'm pretty excited to have squeezed 6 plants into a 2x4 tent so next time I think I want to try a scrog and pack more.
