I think strawberry take a couple years to build a nice rootmass before they will flower

No way, I've done strawberries outdoors many times when I had the room. By a few plants from a garden center and they fruit within 2 months

Nothing wrong with growing poppies! They're beautiful', the dried stems and pods make great accents to floral arrangements and wreaths. And are an excellent alternative to pain pills If the need unfortunately ever arises.

I had some flower this last season and they didn't produce. Not real sure why they didn't, hopefully yours fruit for ya..
I was thinking maybe they never got pollinated..

Mushrooms are great to grow at home, but require a whole new pile of equipment. But harvests can be large, and oh a so good. When I was growing oyster varietys I had more than I could handle. fairly easy to grow.

I think your right mine had very little if any the first year but have been increasing each year to where I get more than a few
It could of been a lack of pollination the first year or something ..
