I don't see any amber trichs and it looks as though what ones are cloudy, are not there yet. I would wait a week or two. If you are near completing your cycle and need to harvest, decrease the numnber of hours of light from 12 to 10, for about a week and then re-evaluate.

Strife, go to Radio Shack and buy one of their $12.99 60-100 times mini hand held microscopes so you can look deep into the trichs. This is the only real way to tell when to harvest. You want your trichs to be cloudy, with about 15-30% of them Amber.

its really cool looking at them under the micro! cut a little bit of leaf off your plant thats covered in trichcomes (near the bud about the side of your finger nail) and put on flat surfas! first time t did i tried holding the bud and focusing with other hand.......lol

I use that scope to look at trichs on the plant, it's a little tricky. focus first, then look, once you zero in on a spot you can look carefully.

It is cool looking. I love looking at a nice ripe Bud after I have harvested it.

If you want a head high, do not have much Amber. The more couche lock you want, the more amber.

That takes too much practice and a steady hand. I use my digital 12.1 megapix camera in macro mode and take snapshots up close. The detail and magnification on the computer beats my old eyes any day! :) Macro bud photography is another art in and of itself.

I would love to have that ability. Now that is the coolest.

Don't you want to see a few ambers no matter what? I understand the whole heady vs. couchlock and amber trich's but is there a STANDARD when it comes to weed in general? I would think at the sign of a couple ambers you want to cut it.

I don't see a whole lot of energy left in that plant. It looks like it has been thouroughly flushed and IMO if your gonna keep growing it it's gonna need fertilizer, I would just harvest it personally I bet it will smoke smooth.
