Yeah I'm in hydro I'm such a shit soil grower. Hell I bought a Kaffir Lime tree (start) and put her in soil and had to do a hydro rescue! I came way to close to killing her. She's under LED in my Kitchen window and happy as a clam!
I like coco, there is no mystery and drama, just a few simple numbers to follow.
A dash of CalNit sauce in veg, kelp juice at stretch, and a nice breeze till harvest.

FF peters out in 7 weeks here. Yuck!

Good morning.
You lack Ca/Mg and you're out of the major nutrients. As everyone else has told you YOUR PLANT IS STARVING.

Do a search on here about Fox Farm soil and when they run out of nutrients. The answer is usually somewhere in the 3-4 month range.

Forget about microbes and other things for now. Just feed her. But realize those bad leaves will not get better although the tops will green up. Further what you do today won't show on her for a week. That is why I'm in hydro. You have to allow for the lag time between what you do and how she changes. Further don't overfeed her now and burn her up.

Good luck

I think most of us newbies get caught up on FFOF cause we get cold feet about mixing nutrients and think it will eliminate the worry. We don't want PH hassles from mixing nutrients. While my FFOF plants are doing excellent it only created more problems later down the road. I had the same symptoms as the OP, You don't know when the FF nutrients wear out or when to start adding your own. You also get confused about what to feed the plant cause you think there may still be something in the soil that might screw you up. I was afraid to use veg nutes cause the FF was supposed to have it all. I added Natures Pride when I switched to bloom, but by then yellowing and brown spots had already started. I then added a teaspoon of epsom salt, and recharge and now so far so good. Things got good enough that I also added floralicious, mighty bloom and molasses cause the problems went away and my confidence came back. My next grow will be Coco and Perlite, that way I know were I'm at from start to finish. With feeding and nutes anyway ( I think).

I don't know if the OP is using FF, but I hope he follows your advice and doesn't give up.

I hate to tell anyone to buy something, especially if I think it's expensive but consider recharge. It's made by Real Growers and its a soil amendment that helps strengthen your plant. It will help reverse a nitrogen deficiency. Look them up and check out their FAQ section. The offer a money back guarantee if you don't see positive results in 48 hours. It aint cheap at about $27 for 8 ounces but you may get lucky and find their single packs for about $3 each.
Description
Recharge uses colonies of living soil bacteria and fungi to increase plant available nutrition. Expect a noticeable pop and jump in plant vigor within 48 hours. Guaranteed!

Most growers can dial their nutrient program back by about 25% while growing stronger plants with better quality & yields. It sounds too good to be true, but Recharge definitely grows amazing roots for huge fruits.

It is not harmful, but most folks stop using Recharge in week 5 or 6 of flower. The additional Nitrogen that is made available is generally not needed at this stage of the plant’s lifecycle.

However, Recharge can be used to reverse a Nitrogen deficiency in mid to late flower if needed, instead of adding grow nutrients.

It will raise your pH initially but as soon as it hits the soil the microbiology will start to make carbonic acid to help buffer and regulate the pH to an acceptable zone.

Prevents nutrient and PH lockout

It's worth a try to google these guys, I tried the sample packs and was impressed so I went off the deep end and grabbed a $40 16 oz bag. With that said I must also say I don't like paying for over priced hyped up BS! This is the only product that I can swear by so far and look forward to buying again.
Can you run this in autopots i run subcools soil recipe

Yes I use the leaves for Pad Prik King and a few other dishes. The rind of the fruit for various curry pastes and the juice for hair rinse.
I'm smiling at that. TY. Second year here. Hoping to knock marbles off them this fall and get a superball sized fruit or so next year. And our presses extract essential oils. Use them for pest prevention.

Apologies OP. Kinda needy as the ground dries outside. Bored.

But I will share my soil mix and nute methods upon request.

Best wishes.

I'm think so, but I'm not sure. They say it runs in soil, coco and hydro but they don't go deep into detail. I wouldn't add it to a reservoir because it is a little on the thick side and if not mixed well it is gritty. I recommend hand watering it in once every 7 days per their schedule to stay safe and not gum up anything.

I gave the plants Recharge 2 days ago. I be heard all good things about it. I’m sorry I may be over reacting. Just have so much money, time and stress in my plants and hate to see them with this going on.. worries me

Okay I’ll give them nutrients in the morning,,my question is if plants take a gallon of water do I give them the entire gallon of nutrients when I feed them in the morning ? Or do I give them less (like 1/2 -3/4 gallon or what) that’s what I’m Leary of about giving nutrients is giving them to much. Hope that makes sense anyways lol. This is my first real grow so Im very naive about all this. Please help with that information,, Thank you so much !

Lift your pots as they are. Dry weight. Put a tray under each pot as you water it. Pour 4 cups at a time in 10 minute increments until you have run off. Let pot sit for a half an hour. Now drain the runoff to add to the next plant. Lift the pot. That is wet weight. You want to water till run off. Water again when getting close to dry weight.

I'm in hydro but I'd mix them at 1/4 to 1/2 recommended strength and I'd check their PPMs or EC. Since you're not hydro you probably don't have that tool. But I'd water until run off with your nutrient solution. If I'm way off someone in soil will be around soon to correct so watch this space :)

Closer than you know. Soil is hydro for dummies so to speak. Damn I must be dumb.

That's your whole problem! You have so much wrapped up in this that failure is no longer an option. You became your own worst enemy. Relax and say fuck it. Plan on losing the entire harvest and get comfortable with that. Thing will start looking up! Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Grab some Neem Oil, cause you'll have gnats watering till run off every day. Get some Clonex and root stimulator, plan B is to grab some clones from the existing plants before it's too late. That will get you a head start on the next crop, you'll have a better idea of what to do and watch for. You may think I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not. I was in the exact same situation. Yellow leaves with brown spots, slow growth and worries. Everytime I looked at my plants I shook like Don Knotts! My wife who said don't do it would make popping noises with her lips and umph, umph umph on a daily basis. I was fucked up! I came on this forum and Buds and Suds put me on blast along with a few other well known members, Damn it! Then I got this wild idea: Fuck it! I ain't no damn expert, shit is gonna happen. You aren't losing money, your paying your dues, and in the end you'll be a better grower because of it. I had the exact same problem you described, Move the light up minimum 18" from your tops, Back off on water, I have never used a gallon of water on one plant. I'm going into my 4th week of flower and 1 liter/32ounces per plant is max I have used. You might be washing nutrients out. I'm using 5 gallon buckets by the way. What kind of soil did you use? I have two in FFOF and two in Detroit Nutrients water only. When I stopped over watering I realized that when you let the soil dry between watering/feeding they seam to grow faster. I water every two to three days, 1 liter per pot. 1/2 to 3/4 dosage of nutes is fine, the Recharge will help stabilize your PH. I have a PH pen, EC pen, soil moisture meter, etc, etc. All the shit a newbie with money buys without proper knowledge of how to use. I stopped checking all that stuff! Next time you water, do so and leave it, the next day take a look everything should be fine, go away. The next day check on them again, are the leave wilting or strange looking? If so water them, if not leave them for another day. The dry time forces your plant roots to search for water and nutrients (grow). Now relax! I'm old so I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how. Remember I'm a newbie, so listen to these experienced guys but dont doubt yourself either.

Not bad for a noob! I flipped on 5/26. The well known experienced members can do a lot better, but the key word is experienced! I'm not experienced I'm lucky so far. Just gotta win the small battles until the war is over. I was in your shoes....

This shit works Ive used it before in past. My plants stood tall and healthy leaf wise within 4 hours. Supposedly people use it to fix nutrient lockout. That’s just my experience and what I heard. I’d listen to more experienced people

Thank you for such great advice and understanding! It is nerve wrecking but I refuse to quit and fail ! So I’m going to take the advice that you and another great grower has given me and just do the best I can to save them, and if I can’t then I’ll start over (to have clones already in clone machine) I really appreciate you guys for being so patient and understanding... sure means a lot to me ! I’m a learner in progress and I think I learned a lot from you guys about this. BUT I’m sure I’ll be needing more advice as I go along so you guys please be ready lol.... once again thanks for all the great advice !

Dont give up bro. If an absolutely newby like me can do it you can too. Just dont overthink it. Follow the K.I.S.S. method The advice here can be so overwhelming. One says this and one says the opposite. The mistakes I have made during my grow have been because I stepped outside that advice and made a move on my own. Find a good mentor that will help you. Make friends...friends will never steer you wrong!

Feel free to look at my grow journal and first grow in my signature below. I started out with little money, hell I even had the seeds given to me (a friend and mentor) because mine were hung up in shipping.

You WILL make it! Experiences both good and bad are knowledge worth having! I look forward to seeing your first grow journal!

Do you know what this could be ? Bruce Banner clone about 2 weeks old.. ph 6.5 Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, use rain water no nutrients thus far. I’m thinking it may be wind burn since my husband thinks he’s Kyle Kushman and does his own ‘’worthless actions’ ughh … puts fan direct on plants wich I never do,,So your advice please on what you think

I’m at wits end trying to figure out what’s going on with my indoor growing. Brown and yellow leaves, plants not growing at all anymore. Now I’m hearing it may be nitrogen deficiency. Guess this shit just ain’t cut out for me ‍♀
Hey man I know your feeling sometimes. Just gotta stop a minute and try again. It looks like you have some magnesium deficiency. You can mix up some Epsom salt in a water bottle snd give the girls a spritz. Should help green them up a little. In the meant time you should wait until the lot is dry. Give a good watering measure your PPM and Ph before hand then measure after. I think you might have a PH problem at roots. Or sometimes if temps are a little low for LED they can act weird.
