really dumb question/comment

i have has one of my extract fans connected and venting my room for like he past few months. i am almost 100% positive it was blowing out of the room not pulling air in

5 mins a go i just checked it and its sucking air in to my room

is it possible for the motor to start spin backwards

if i have had it sucking for the past few months i really have no idea how i never noticed RIP

That's strange do you know if the power cord can be flipped in the outlet. Like positive to negatif. And if so if you flip it does it change from pulling to pussing. If so maybe someone unplugged it... If that'the case pout a mousse trap on the power chord near the outlet. And when you hear a scream run in the room and yell quit fuckin up my shit bitch..

It's possible for a motor to run backwards, but it would have to be wired backwards. It certainly won't change polarity on the fly. I'd go back to " i am almost 100% positive".....'almost' leaves a shade of doubt. Good luck friend.

It's possible a motor can run backwards. But are u sure u have it in the right position? It's pretty rare and the motor is probably going to fail soon if it is

If it flipped by itself you have a faulty connection or a faulty/failing motor and/or capacitor.

thanks for that info. ill just tell my self i was really stoned when cleaning and i re installed in the wrong way.

a faulty connection or a faulty/failing motor was my 1st thought as i turn it on and off daily depending on room temps/humidity ect

i have two filters and fans so one is permanently scrubbing the room while the second only extracts when needed. guess thats how i didn't notice

some days its easy to be a dumb fuk lol
