ok ive looked all over this forum and still have not got a strait enough answer. On average what is the most likely per plant ratio on a marijuana plant grown outdoors. being a sativa indica hybrid. I do live in one of the best known climates for marijuana growing . so what should i expect if say i germinated them then moved them into some decent soil/fert mix and watered them when necessary. all i want to know is what to expect from one plant. of course ill grow many more. and no pruning or anything just left to grow and perhaps supported if necessary.

it all depends on strains and growing style and amount of tlc that they get, but a couple pounds off a monster outdoor plant is not unheard of.. go look at a breeders website, and they will usually list yeilds for both indoors and out..

Your going to get the same answer that youve seen a million times. There is absolutely no way to tell what a plant will yield before you grow it. Or before it even starts to flower for that matter. There are so many factors that have to go into this before calculating it, its rediculous to even try. I can tell you this much. If you grow a plant out to about 24-36" before flowering, and top the plant twice, you can pull 2oz from each plant that you grow with ease, as long as you grow it correctly, and care for them. Other than that, your going to have to find out on your own. If you want more bud, then grow more plants, just to cover your bases. You never know, you might get multiple times more than what you need or were expecting.

good luck :D

yeah thats what i was thinking ill suspect an oz or 2 from each plant. now on that note when is the best time to top a pot plant in its stage of growth. and do you just cut the top few inches off or what exactly?

you can top anytime during the veg state.....but I think it's best to stop a few weeks before starting bloom...... say mid August outdoors

if you just want to keep them bushy and short......just pinch the tips 2 or 3 times several weeks apart when it's healthy and growing, then you'll have a shrub instead of a tree... when you pinch them.....every node below the pinch will become a branch....you might even want to try FIM......

Look at Uncle Ben's post on 4 top plants......using the same technique on each of the 4 branches gives you 16 tops......very doable outside........I had one with around 30 colas..........I don't think more than that would have worked in my situation....but it looked like one of those blooming onions about the size of a really big sagebrush.........only about 2 feet tall and practically all bud.......

If you have the resources you can start veggin some plants under some HID lights (at least 600w) for about 6 months. Top them a few times and let them get 5' tall and nice and bushy. Then get a backhoe and dig some really big holes. Fill it full of some good conditioned soil. Then plant your 5' plants in April or may, depending on where you live, and watch them suckers grow 20' tall easy. That's what we call Paul Bunyon plants. 3-4 pounds per plant easy
