I did a comprehensive search and didnt come up with anything. I know you guys and gals are a wealth of knowledge out there so here goes.....does anyone have a site or something that explains how to take great pics with a digital camera of their plants...I am having trouble getting the focus and lighting right....thanks all

ive got a really cheap 2mp camera and it takes much better pics with a lense of some sort. i use the front lense from an old broken set of binoculars for normal close ups and different size telescope eyepieces for even closer shots. my avatar pic was taken using a 25mm eyepiece.
what sort of camera have you got? not that im into cameras at all but someone else here might be.

Its just an hp digital camera, nothing special I guess but was just wondering if there were some sort of settings I should have it on ect.

depends what youre taking pics of as to what settings youll need.
i dont know what settings yours has got but these are common ones.
digital zoom, not worth using as you can zoom in on the pc if you want digital zoom.
macro, is for close ups.
EV shift, this lets you adjust the brightness sensitivity, like if youre taking a pic of a lightbulb that is on you can turn it down and you can see the bulb and not just the white glare from it.
white balance, adjusts its so white looks white when under different lighting, veg or flower lights for example.
quality, higher the better.
size, same as cam mp or less, more than gives lower quality.

a simple magnifying glass will do wonders for a cheap cam though

Does your camera have a flower setting? Mine has an actual picture of a flower that when you use, it makes the picture really clear and focused. :peace:

Ok, well here they are, I was experimenting with all sorts of settings and could never really find one that worked too well. Might be the camera. By any chance can someone try and tell me if they are male or female. I have been debating but cant come up with exactly what they are. Have been flowering for about week and a half. Only time or an experts eye can tell :hump:

Thanks all :joint:
