Really Rookie Q on Nutrients

I looked through the stickied and still couldn't find what I was looking for. And I'm almost embarrassed to ask such a rudimentary question, but how do I administer the nutes to the plants?

I have some Querkle that is probably ready for bloom, but I'm letting them veg a little longer to let my OG Kush catch up. They are in 4in square black pots. I usually water them as needed, will probably step up to an automatic watering method soon, but until then how do I give my plants nutrients and how much?

Is it as obvious as I think it is just add it, by measurement, to a quart of water and water each plant the same amount? or do I add it to a watering bucket and water them until it starts to drip out of the bottom?

This may seem like a basic question and I'm sorry if it made you dumber reading it, but I like to be overly cautious, since I have a lot invested lol.

Thanks in advance!

Mix your nutes in with your water and that's really it. Water until you see run off, ensure good drainage then watch them grow. Personally I fill a gallon jug with tap water, leave it overnight for the chlorine to evaporate then add nutes accordingly. All of my nute containers say to be mixed per gallon, so it's an easy way to make sure everything is proportioned correctly.

Also, how long have they been vegging? And did you give them any veg nutes while doing so?

They were cloned 6/22, and I guess I have been vegging them for 6 weeks...damn time flies I hadn't realized that. and so far I have not used nutrients on them, just water from the tap. haha I feel like you're gonna be HOLY S**t you're doing it all wrong haha. I know they probably should have been blooming by now.

you can veg for a long time. how tall are they, do you have pics? I would re-pot them before you flower, you said 4x4 in pots those are way to small, you are probably going to get rootbound soon. if you have the room then you need to get at least 1 gallon pots or as big as your space will allow. and you will see them jump in size. all this givin the fact your ready to flower..

This is my Querkle, the OG is in the back, its nowhere near ready to bloom (she got stunted in that heatwave we had here in michigan). I have 3 gallon Smart Pots for flowering. We're having an electrician come out in a week to hook it all up and pull codes, all for legal purposes ya know. So after that is when i'll start flowering if they're ready. (next to paper towels for scale)

i would put them in those pots now, it won't hurt anything. maybe not the og yet but the other two are ready to re-pot.

I'm probably a week away from transplanting, just because I get paid on friday and won't be able to go to our grow store to get the soil until monday. I will start giving them nutes starting tomorrow now that i am aware of how to feed them. Thank you all for your help, I'm sure I'll be asking more questions around here from time to time haha

Those gotta be rootbound man. Look how brown/red your stalk and stems are, they're not too happy.

I checked the drainage holes on the bottom and i can barely see roots yet (in the biggest plant). Do you think they can last 1 more week?

I'm using Root Organics Formula 707. The Nutrients I'm about to use are Humboldt Grow, Micro and Bloom. I'll definitely transplant as soon as I get paid.

theres def roots down there... and lots of them.... i would transplant now but if you are still unsure, just transplant the biggest one to get an idea, but from lookin at the pic, they are ready to get out of there

So another question for you, I didn't upload pics of my OG Kush, but now I have a question about them. I was told today I should destroy these OG Kush because they were stunted (during that heatwave I mentioned) My partner told me to ask you guys your opinion. I'd hate to toss them, but if they won't bud out very well or won't clone very well, they're kind of worthless, ya know? So what is your opinion?

To give a little info, these are a week older than my Querkles. (Maybe more). So what is the verdict?

I'm one of those people who believes rootbound is just a state of mind within reason, that being said I woudn't say you HAVE to transplant at all really. Those seem pretty small though for being vegged six weeks... Might be from no veg nutes.
