recently moved to BEND, Or

whats up, central oregon! I am happy to say, I just moved up near Bend from Mount Shasta, California...lovin it so far!

one thing I was hoping for a little insider prospective on is, a good doc to sign off on my initial script.

I first started with online research - I looked into a naturalpathic doctor, but they told me I would need to get a licensed MD - so I tried to get a referral from the MAMA clinic, but they just told me to either ask around, or go into a clinic and hope for the best..haha. (i have only had history of alternative pain management routes - chiropractic, body work, acupuncture etc)

..then I made a call to the folks at Central Alternative Medicine - they seemed pretty legit (yeah?) they were helpful and they said they have a chiropractor office in the same building... I think I am going to go in there ...

any thoughts??

In Oregon you have to have a history of medical problems to apply for a card. I got my card from Bend MAMAS once all the paperwork from other doctors was forwarded to them. I think most places won't give you a card without a history from somewhere else. You could also try Southern Oregon Alternative Medicine, but I've never been there.

I am at that point in the relocation that I could use a few local connections. It's not a terrible drive to get back to my Cali buds, but I'd like to just get Rollin up here!

Im sure youre happy to be out of the sac valley! you been in coos bay long? I contemplated ashland and roseburg areas...but something in the mountains was calling me a little more easterdly

I am glad I made the move, finally after a couple years of decision - I made it up this fall <3 now I just gotta start making the connections with like- minded folks in the area so I can get rollin smooth! ((can't keep treking down to shasta to fill the jars, ya know...?!))

iv been living in oregon now for 12 years.wish i lived in the mountains as i love to hunt.. the woods for my back yard that would be awsome.. good luck there im sure you will meet the right people..

You would love my house... I have about 40 elk that come through here every 3 days.
