Makes sense. Thanks! I have been using an organic base with promix for awhile. You're probably right. Not the best medium if you want to build up your microbs. LolI like it for soil growing. Wouldn’t use it in promix personally but I’m sure others do. I like a more sterile medium with promix. When your feeding promix with salt fertilizer it doesn’t really need the extra beneficials to break down nutrients like a soil grow with meals/ ammendments would need.
Like compost/promix base. If you’re already mixing your oromix with composy then use that recharge up. With compost or castings the medium has a good mixture of microherd to keep things in check. I’d straight promix I think about it like a sterile hospital being infested with some flesh eating bacteria because there is no good “germs” to keep things in check.Makes sense. Thanks! Why not? I use promix as a base for living soil sometimes. It's just peat and perlite. Pure sphagnum peatmoss that's not been steamed is better but promix is just fineMakes sense. Thanks! That doesn't really make sense because the microorganisms are what you're adding with recharge....? There's nothing flesh eating in there.Like compost/promix base.
