Recharging Used Oil?

Just a question that came up the other day in a discussion I was having.

I am growing in various pots and in the ground. The soil I use is a blend of worm castings, compost, bat guano, blood & bone meal and other goodies.

My question is, after I harvest and I have all this soil, can I reuse It next year by adding manure, ferts, whatever?

It cost a bunch for this load, it would be nice if I can reuse it again on next years grow.

Thanks in advance

I reuse my soil by adding earthworm casting, compost, dolomite, and manure and really didnt see any negative results. Most people do not reuse there soil, but for me cost is an issue since I grow for personal medical use and cannot afford to make a new batch for every grow. After I add my amendments to my reuse soil I use neem oil to water and let it sit for at least 30 days so that the neem can kill any insects in the soil. You can even add Physan 20 to the water to kill the Tobacco Mosiac Virus that is present in the soil.

i've also reused some ffof soil by adding some new blood meal and bone meal and some worm castings, and i didn't notice any negative benefits from doing so either..
i know a lot of people will say not to do it, but i think so long as you reapply some nutes to the soil by using stuff like the bone meal and worm castings etc, i don't really see a downside to it..

as long as it's not a peat moss based soil you can, peat will break down in one year to acidic dust.
Here in BC we use ground fir bark for homemade potting mix, that's great as it is very slow to rot down.

week 18.jpgHeres one i'm growing in used soil from seed.I have had to give it some ferts from about week 10 as it was showing bad nitrogen defeciency,on the evidence thus far it can be done.
