When using the Recipe For Success Starter Kit is the "ROOT 66 and SugarDaddy Mix" the only stuff that gets sprayed on the plant
and every thing else goes in the soil even the next step of Root 66 a lone or am I missing something.

theres a feeding guide on their website that tells you how to use them. i read it a few days ago but Im pretty sure it said to feed in water not foliar feed.

I dunno. if anything i would just mist the soil. maybe someoen else will say different. but i dont see why youd put root 66 on leaves and foliar feeding can be risky with burning plants ect. I just prefer not to myself.

I agree, sounds weird.

it means to mix a solution of the 2 nutes and water to give the plants a foliar feeding...:hump:
It just doesn't explain things well enough for each step. Especially when that step is about roots. I guess I expected a beginners starters kit to be me detailed than a one page sheet for all those nutrients and stages.
But thank God for this forum.

"After 2 to 3 days of transplanting, (apply) ROOT 66 to induce aggressive root yada yada yada....

What does (APPLY) mean.....to spray on the plants, or to water the soil?????

Technaflora has a forum on their website, I do believe. I'm sure you can get clarification there.

I'm using their starter kit for a soil grow. I skipped everything until the veg stage instructions. Although, I did use B-1 Green, Sugar Daddy, and Root 66 in my water during transplants.

Foliar feeding feels beyond my comfort level as a novice. I want to figure out how to fertilize appropriately through the soil before I tackle other methods. I think it's fine to keep it basic and not do every little thing Technaflora suggests.

I am using this kit as well. Is anyone using their pH/EC/TDS meter to measure their nutrients when mixing the pre-soak for the cutting stage? Should I be concerned about pH and EC levels at this stage? I'm a noob, sorry.

If I should be taking these things into consideration, can someone walk me through how you mix your nutirents and take EC readings?

I have taken a stab at it already and feel unsure about how I procedded after reading some of the other posts. I did the following:

I mixed 12.5 ml of thrive alive B-1 Red into 1 gallon of water. I wanted to use my Hanna combo ph/ec/tds meter after this stage, but i was not sure which mode I was to be using, PPM or uS??? What should my conversion factor and beta be set to?
For this step, I relied on my eyes to try and get this step right, is there a better way to do this?

I next proceeded with checking the pH and bringing it down to 5.5. This part was easier. After modifying the pH, i soaked rockwool in the solutions and placed seedlings in them. Should I expect my plants to sprout?

Any help would be much appreciated, this is my first grow. -
