That's a great option, but I would prefer the qb132s for the better coverage. I would only move into the QB288 range if I was trying to cover a 25 square feet or more. Take that with a grain of salt though because I've experienced the qb132 and I've never seen a qb288 in person. It must be impressive, that high intensity.this is what i would choose:
https://horticulturelightinggroup.c...m-boards/products/qb288-with-slate-2-heatsink - $189
https://www.digikey.com/product-det...d=ref_findchips_standard&utm_source=findchips - $90
$279 total, 280w, 32w per square foot, 2.5umoles/joule
i know you said no diy but this is so easy. you would screw the boards into the heatsinks, wire the boards to the driver in series, and attach a power cord to the driver.
other than that i would get cmh or hps.
have fun!

haha i have never seen a qb288 @ 2.8A either i'm sure it would look really impressive. and i would agree with you about the coverage. I was just trying to find something for under $300 with the power for a 3x3. hence running as few boards as hot as possible.
Gave previous (dismal) 4 cob no name china to mate to assist his 6 cob no name china.
yeah i built a cob light for my 4x2 veg tent and im realizing now i spent way more on that that i would have on what i'm recommending to this guy. really good deals on those boards right now.I have 2 new qb288V2`s in a 2x4 (optimal flowering size) Not fired up yet, another month, waiting for winter to sod off.

sounds like quite the come up for your poverty stricken mate. he must be extra happy today right?! another cheap & nasty steaming pile of faeces.
hah
Told him he pushing shit uphill with a pointed stick

@TPTB73
I watched the assembly video and I could help handle the assembly, I'm confident soldering and making sturdy connections, it's the actual parts and ordering the correct pieces and supplies that I haven't been able to source.
I thank you for posting the product links but was confused on what exactly was being built, I am still looking for 3x3 coverage for both veg and flower with one light.
To throw another wrench into the ring I also live in Canada
Can we go through a parts list for a build of a light to rival a 600w Hid setup?

Sure, I will absolutely help you with a parts list. Before we start, however, since you guys are in Canada, I need to know, can you order off regular Amazon for instance? If so, I can go ahead and put links to the parts you will need, if not, I need to know how you can go about getting the particular parts that we'll need.@TPTB73

When they say LED, they have to be talking about blurples. There's no way I can take that article seriously if they aren't
And most here at RIU already understand that blurples are equivalent to HID in terms of efficiency.
O
Eventually science will prevail at the end of the hype, be here then.
Your comprehension of light is very poor, ppfd is inacurate yet you derive efficiency from it.
Noob....!
