Recommended bud trimmer

I don't see how that trimmer doesn't shake a ton of kief off the buds. It's essentially the same design with a bigger screen as those machines designed to dry sift.

I have a trim pro workstation. I switched to the mixed grate and started just using that to clip off the big stuff. Then after drying I use Debudder bucket lid and a Trim Bag for some “friction trimming”. I’ve been pretty happy with the results. Some cleanup is needed but it’s the best combination I’ve found to save some time but not beat up your product.

Man.. that's not even close to market ready. That looks like brick weed.
I've heard the bud comes out very well trimmed when used in conjunction with hand trimming. This machine is just easier on the resin glands than some other bladed machines. The centurion pro, which I've seen used a few times, seems to consistently pull about 3 lbs of kief from about a 12 lbs crop. According to my source, the Tom's trimmer pulled 0.5 lbs of kief from a bigger crop than the 12 lbs we trimmed with the Centurion. That's a great deal of potency robbed from the bud using the Centurion and a much greater retention of outer trichs on the Toms machine. Market ready, in my opinion, is not bud thats been beat up and stripped of all its outer trichs.

In the end, if you are looking for a machine that hand trims bud, pick up a pair of scissors and look in the mirror. Machines don't hand trim bud, they machine trim it.

Totally agree with that!. Thats why each bud we produce gets the hand finish. The GreenBroz will pop a few out that don’t need anything, but in general, it does most of the work. You can see some of our market ready product at www.compoundhqllc.com

EXACTLY. Tom's tumbler does about 85-90% of the trimming for you, it still needs a final "once over" by hand. And different strains trim differently in it. Loose small fluffy buds, dont even bother putting those in there it wont trim them worth a fuck. And the good thing about it is that it collects all the trim/kief for hash making purposes so its not like any of it goes to waste. I smoke my buds so the little hand crank unit is perfect for me. Does a good rough trim and then everything else gets turned to dry ice hash using their 151 micron screen. And then i run the trim one last time with alcohol and boil that off for oil for edibles. Nothing wasted. If I was trying to market them.... I might just bite the bullet and hand trim or pay people to do it.

I watched the video.
My firs thought was: This machine just comes from the store. How will it look after you did 10 runs?
How are you gonna clean it?
U dont clean it. It just gets caked with kief and resin and more kief and more resin. and then you scrape that up and smoke it. and then you trim more. and you smoke more. and its just wonderful. That would be like asking "how do you clean your grinder" who the fuck cleans a grinder. You keep it clean and take care of it. But if you really must clean it, soak everything in rubbing alcohol. Easy peasy.

I wish there was something that trims faster without beating the shit out of your buds. I am in trim jail right now and while I think I'm gonna be happy with my first pull here at the new place, my back is not and I haven't even made a dent yet. It's gonna take me 2 weeks id say, while they make machines that claim to do it all in a few hours. I'm gonna start looking around at trimmers, I'm not sure the market price justifies the time involved for hand trimming anymore.

But I just can't buy one of those rotating ones above or a trim bag. I just can't I put too much time into this to trim in what seems to be the exact same design as a dry sift tumbler. No wonder I think the majority of dispensary weed has been trash, I wondered how they even get it to come out so bad, but I'm leaning towards bad post harvest processing being a big cause of it.

You got a trim bin?

Makes it easier to trim sitting down comfortably.

I thought I did lol, I guess it was in some stuff at my other house and didn't get packed for the move. I thought about buying one when was at htg supply yesterday but I thought I still had one here and don't always need two of em. Im def gonna buy another one as I like to put trim in it and shake it sorta like a cheap fast dry sift method.

Yeah, mine took care of it all before we moved too. Now it's just too much so I have to help. That's why I'm looking at machines lol.

Anyone try the cannabrush? I'm thinking of getting one as oppsed to one of those bowl trimmers.

Ok guys I’m ready to finally spend some money. After spending days and days trimming I’m finally ready to buy a trimmer. The help I have does a lazy job so a trimmer helping should atleast replace him. Anyone have experience with a twister t6?
