Recommended PPM values and Suggested Noot Percentages

guys, just received a TDS pen. Reading on the ideal levels to measure posed a question:

growing my auto in hot medium (19-04-04) but now 35 days on and with two profound flushes, all of my research for noot strength (in terms of percentages) have all been around 25% graduating to 50% because of their strength.

abiding by a 25% dilution and now heading to pre flower using a 50% approach, i measure only 520 ppm with my ph’d tap water around 5.8, this at half strength measure is still under the ideal in the chart. should i consider increasing the noots to 65 or over percent to obtain the ideal ppm read? or obey the legacy knowledge of some noots being overly strong (especially in fertigated medium)?

Plants look like this: (1 liter every four days)

What media are you growing in? PPM’s are more critical in coco/hydro than in soil. What nutes are you using? What does the manufacturer recommend?

i’m growing in a lowe’s brand organic soil. about 20% perlite added. my noots are the FF trio (only using veg moores at this point) fox farms recommends 3 & 2 tablespoons (grow big and big bloom) per gallon per week.

i have calculated a solution of ph’d water at around 25% of manufactures recommendation. so, in that, the ppm’s are below the chart above.

should i increase the strength to 50% to get closer to the chart ppm? the common wisdom is stay no more concentrated than 25 to 50%. the chart says my ppms are too low.

I would ditch going by the PPM's, and go by what the manufacturer says. Your'e growing autos that are 35 days old, they will go into flower soon, so you need to start givng them some bloom nutes. If you're concerned about over fertilizing, start at 50% (for plants that age), see how they handle it and adjust accordingly. PPM measurements are more for coco/hydro, you're growing in soil. Also, where does the "Hot Soil" come from, is the lowes stuff 19-4-4? Why have you flushed twice? The flushing removes nutes/chelate salts from the soil, but in only 35 days that shouldn't be a problem.

the flushes took place earlier on (one early in week 3 and another in 4) because of suspected locks due to the 19-04-04 (picture attached and wasn’t smart about npk at the time).

so, the PH levels in the medium continued high until the flushes. now, i have a PH pen and can manage watering and soil PH. but, everything i kept reading along forum lines, when it came to nutrients (fox farm was included) was reported to be above strength per its chart and label.

conventional wisdom was nutrient strength at 25% until flowering with an adjustment to 50 AND the inclusion of bloom nutes. other articles were cautious about introducing the bloom noots too early in order to avoid imbalances on the continued needs of nitrogen during vertical stretches. they claimed that until buds are actually present would you start bloom noots.

if i understand your guidance, which i was of the same persuasion, would be to increase the noot strength to 50 and alternate with water only. i appreciate your input as im looking for something more consistent than what i am gleaning

leaves were starting to claw (down) and some had brownish smudg like pattern developing and along with overwatering due to flushes, the growth was delayed or downright stunted.

on top of all that, i went right into LST the second it seemed to recover. so, i’ve “nancy kerrigan’d” this plant pretty well before she hit the ice
