I'v set myself a target for yeild... nothing unrealistic really - I think about an Oz and a half off all 3 would be nice or there abouts... (All 3 are Short Riders, just in case anyone was wondering..lol)

I wasn't expecting to change the light schedule from 18/6 for the whole grow as it stands I'v had to - I'v now been in 12/12 for 5 days... My biggest had nearly 7 weeks Veg time - my 2 smalller ones had nearly 4 weeks!

Is there ANYONE who has managed to get short rider to autoflower and have it finished in the time it states (9 weeks from seed)?? if so, I'd like to see it...

I would say from my own experience with them and a few others on here that they are NOT autoflowers just EARLY finishers! (and SLOW starters.. LOL)

my SR beans were very small to begin with n i thought they would not germ at all due to that reason. but the smallest one germed in a day using the paper towel method.. the other two i had in water inna shot glass with my well water.. i had it covered with another cup n a heating pad over it for warmth..
well one germed that way n the other dint..
now i have one sprout n two dead ones i think.. but not sure they are in peat pucks.. :confused:

Good luck with them NWS - I hope your other 2 pop up - if not I hope you enjoy watching ur 1 grow...
I'v enjoyed growing it, a bit peeved at what nirvana state about it but overall its a nice looking and smelling plant but I wont be growing it again!

Anyway, update time guys and girls...
as you can see my biggest is still growing nicely and I thought I'd show you how the smaller ones are coming along - the one that I messed up the transplant on has bounced back quite well too.. enjoy...

Ok, so my first week of 12/12 has been quite interesting - little white hairs coming out from everywhere on my biggest - the 2 smaller ones have no hairs yet but they stink so I have no doubt Iv got all females!
I'm still feeding 1/4 strength with nutes - I'll be adding my first lot of bloom to the feed tonight - I hope she likes it!! lol
I will get a few more pics up this evening when the lights come on - but for now here's a couple from last night and one from this mornin as the lights went off!

Looking really nice in there m8.
If you want to veg those little ones a bit more you can take them out just before the lights go off and pop them on the windowsill until the lights go back on. I've started doing it with clones and it works a treat.
Can't wait to see how th big girls turns out

well, I'v got bad news for the plant that I messed up the transplant on - It hermied on me! :wall:

at least it wasn't male - and it was my own fault too! (but its now got a new home, in my father inlaws garden!)
So I'm now down to 2 girls....
I will update with pics tomorra!

So, my babies are getting really big now - my biggest is a monster due to the LST - my smallest I'm gonna let do her own thing (no LST)
All the tops are now crowning, Can't wait for it to look like bud!
My expected Harvest date is around the 30th September - :weed:

Update time -

I'm still feeding 1/4 strength with the bloom nutes - Also added my first lot of Molassas to the feed too last night (teaspoon boiled in water then added to a 3 litre bottle of water) My Biggest gets 2 litres and the little one gets a litre!

"Short rider - recommended to people with lack of space or in need of a stealth grow"??? LOL - What BS!!!

they say they are gonna reimburse me with freebees ........we'll see
just started2 NBD(sannies)..reg seeds

Both mine are girls and the other 1 I had is either male or hermie.... It stinks... but upon investigation I found that a male plant can give off a nice smell too! before today I thought that male plants didn't really smell of anything!

Just a little update with a few pics...

Given the biggest a little bit more LST -

I'v been considering LST for the smallest but I can't be bothered (even though I know the yeild could be slightly better if I did)

I can't wait to smoke some of this - There is still alot of Nepal Cream (squidgy) hash around my area at the moment but not much weed - the weed thats going around is what my friends call "Chinese" weed - (Undercooked, uncured and wet) I don't and won't entertain it - I would rather smoke soap bar hash instead! I'm thankful for the nepal cream at the moment as you all can imagin?!

Well, I reconsidered LST on my Little Girl! (Nothing major, just a slight bend to open her up a bit!)

I'm really happy with how my plants are looking and growing (This is my first attempt at indoor growing - I know theres probably room for a few improvements but overall - I feel I'm doing Ok!

I'm seeing changes everyday, I'm fascinated by the whole flower proccess at the moment, watching the buds form! What an amazing experience - Even if it is only a Short Rider! (I can't wait to start something else now!)

Update, for anyone who's interested!

My big girl is starting to take over my tent!
What were nirvana thinking when they named this strain?? They were obviously stoned!! lol

These babies have about 4/5 weeks to go before they are ready - and to be honest, it can't come quick enough!

Sorry about the lack of updates, there wasn't much happening apart from the bolting of certain branches on my big girl (now under control)

Anyway, bud is forming nicely.... I reckon about 3 to 4 weeks left, If I start flushing in 2 weeks time (flush for a week and then decide whether or not another week is needed)

I feel really lucky with my Short riders, I'v read a lot of bad things about them! I haven't got a bad word to say about the plant in general although the advertisement is way off - Nirvana need to sort that out... I will give it an overall rating when I get to smoke a bud of it but so far - I would personally give it a 8/10 for ease of growing/smell and experience - 1/10 for Nirvana's view on it! :clap:

Sup Jedi, looks real good man.. haven't been on here for a while but I just updated my grow journal after god knows how long, been 5 weeks maybe but i'm seeing buds too. Yours look real healthy tho and nice sized buds dude for sure.. mine are substantially smaller but I also ended up having a 5 ft tall SHORT rider, LOL.... so my grow is not exactly the norm... but nice buds for sure dude. What week are you on of flowering, you gonna go by the condition of the trichs before harvest? Pete

Good to hear from ya dude, thanks for the compliments... 5 foot "Short" rider ay? LOL - I feel my biggest would of been about 4 1/2 foot if I didn't LST it!
I'm nearly on my 5th week of flowering and yeh, I will be going by how they look (I aint got a magnifying glass)

Gonna be throwing up afew more pics tomorra... buds are lookin a bit bigger now..

After quite a few scares yesterday (Including powercuts, electricians and plumbers in my house) I got a little bit camera happy today... Buds are looking and smelling lovely!
I reckon 1 or maybe 2 weeks more of nutes then flush for a week or 2 (3 or 4 weeks left in total..)

The flash on my camera (Phone) is automatic... sometimes it goes off - sometimes it doesn't... but when it does it gives it a much better look (Like Pic6)...

I'm gonna see if I can get a few more pics like it when the buds get a bit fatter...

Well, I must say - my Short Rider has definatly surprised me (In a good way).. getting VERY fat, VERY fast - I may even have an earlier finish than I expected with my big girl (My little girl is still very immature looking bud so I'm gonna give her a week or 2 more than my big girl. (I'm predicting a week saturday as my harvest time, I'm playing it by ear so I may leave it longer - we'll see)

My only complaint is Nirvana's description! (had to slip that in) LOL

These pics make my mouth water.... What do you guys think then?! bongsmilie
