Redish/rust colored leaves

Greetings RIU!

I first noticed this about a week ago but it is now spreading. Could this be a fungus/bacteria or maybe just a deficiency of some sort?

I welcome your input and advice!

Plant background:

Feminized purplehaze photoperiods from ilgm.

In soil on 9/05; on 12/12 schedule since 11/17.

Plants are in 5gallon fabric pots with coast of main stonington blend.

Been feeding 1/4 cup Dr. Earth Flower Girl(3,9,4) per plant every two weeks once flowering started.

Before flowering they were getting Dr. Earth HomeGrown(4,6,3).

Been watering with tap water amended with:
1/8 tsp 200x Aloe Powder per gallon
1/2 tsp pottasium silicate per gallon
1 tbsp Epsom salt per gallon
1/2 tbsp molasses per gallon
5 mL fishsh!t per gallon

Since 11/09 they have gotten that water mix about every week +- a day or two depending on container weight or my absence. Usually it's every 7 days (seems far apart). Approx 1 gal of water per plant.

Before that water mix I was using water from my dehu and before that distilled water, adding pH +/-, and calmag but plants were having a rough time and had signs of pottasium and magnesium issues. They started looking much better after changing the water routine. I have not been checking the pH or ppm of my current water mix; letting the soil system sort it out...I hope. Also not watering to run off since I'm not feeding them unwanted salts.

Canopy is currently around 700 umol/m^2/s; they had low light for most of their life...my fault for misunderstanding light intensity in the beginning...been turning it up gradually. Most leaves are praying upward slightly or sitting even near 90°.

Typically environment: approximately...
Day; 74-76°F and ~38-45% RH
Night; 65-68°F and ~45-55% RH

I know VPD isn't in ideal range but this is my first grow and I already overcomplicate things as a habit.

Thanks for your time!

Why the Epsom salts in that amount with that frequency?
I started adding epsom salt to the water because the plants were showing signs of magnesium deficiency. The amount of 1tbps / gal of water seemed to be typical from what I had read and for the frequency; I've been adding it every water to keep the mag levels up but perhaps I should back off?

Thank you for your feedback!

They need a well balanced diet.. I would dump your flower nutes and use Dr. Earth Flower girl..
KISS..
For flower nutes I am currently using Dr. Earth Flower Girl, 1/4 cup per plant every 2 weeks. Do you mean to dump the water additives?

Thanks for the feedback!

Why are you making things so complicated? Just feed the plants with a balanced fertilizer and call it a day. What you're doing is creating the problem.
As I mentioned I tend to overcomplicate things as a habit. Something I need to work on.

Which part of what I'm doing do you think is creating the problem?

The fertilizer they get is Dr Earth Homegrown during veg and Flower Girl during flower, should qualify as well balanced.

Most of what I put in the water is for the soil; aside from the epsom and potassium. You think what I'm doing with the water is causing the issue? That's the only thing that's somewhat complicated at the moment.

Thank you for the feedback!

I'm not going to speculate as to what one thing you're doing is causing issues. It's a combination of what you're doing. I do know that there are growers using that soil and all they do is top dress a few times and don't have any issues.

Ding Ding Ding :joint:

Way over complicating a rudimentary feed.
All of that excess crap you add to the water - not particularly ratioed anyways when you can run straight TAP ( believe it or not it won’t kill your plants - ask the lawn ) ….. no distilled / dehum water ir other nonsense. Its a god damn plant - it requires only basic things.

Literally a good solid Flower girl feed - even a 50/50 feed with Dr . Earth Veg to get some color back and that’s it. You took a simple 2 part dry fertilizer set and threw in the kitchen sink.

Dr. Earth - Veg / Transition Stretch stages
Flower Girl - begin at week 2 of actual flower.

Match Water ph to medium / grow style and let them be.

No additional supplements - No molasses - just a simple balanced feed.

Think about it …. What other plant on earth would need what you have been feeding ?

NONE.

Doing less as a solution is good news to me!
I'll back off the water additions, continue using tap water, add some homegrown with the next flowergirl feedings and keep an eye on them.

Thank you to everyone for taking a look and offering you're advice, very much appreciated!

Plants look super light to me and I'm thinking its the dr. Earth u used during veg. 463 doesn't sound that balanced to me. 444 is balance. Maybe that's why someone suggested u use Epsom salt to green up. I think u needed more Nitrogen. But don't add more N now its to late. Cut out the all the extra additives to water except the molasses once a week. Don't worry about the purplish leaves either. Happens during bloom.

I use dr eartn only after 4 weeks into flower when my ocean forest/ coco loco mix has depleted. Then I use both veg and flower girl and seabird guano then again in three weeks except the veg nutes, if they look like they wanna go longer than 9- 10 weeks I’ll feed one last time. I only add silica to my tap ( after sitting for 24 hours ) and recharge once a week ohh and Epsom salt every 2 weeks ,pretty simple compared to how complicated I made it when I first started.
