These are some of the tightest nodes I’ve grown yet...I took this pick last week. The strains are the same as my last 2 grows (White Widow & Gorilla Glue) & the seeds were all from the same mothers, but the nodes this grow are considerably tighter. The only 2 factors I’m aware of that changed...
1. I added more LED lights & keep them very close to the colas (8 x 250w LED lights in a 4’ x 3’ tent)
2. I trim like a freak show on wheels...above & below the SCROG
Nothing else has changed including temp swings, nutes & light schedule.
I start topping the plants once the 5th nodes pop and then I trim like crazy from week 3 Veg (from seed) through week 4 of Flower. I use an RDWC System and the growth rate is insane, so when I don’t trim like this, the plants become stressed, the colas are smaller & more susceptible to mold. I actually wanted this crop even thinner with fewer colas, but I couldn’t keep up with growth!
The canopy is uneven this grow because I travel weekly and was gone for 9 days straight at one point...when I got home, they were too long to tuck & level out...
