Regarding Coco DTW! ~Urgent help needed~

Guys I have 3 gallon fabric pots. 4 weeks flowering already and I'm sick of hand watering. I can't keep up with watering manually more than twice per lights on and they demand so much more. Coco is constantly dry on the top. Its killing me that I'm not growing them to their full potential I don't want to waste a second more!

How many times should i water per day?

And when you guys talk about, for example, 3x per day...are we talking 3 times per 24 hours? Or 3 times during lights on?

Do you irrigate during lights off???


What are your watering times specifically?? Example...9am, 3pm, 9pm, 3am, 9am. That would be 4 waterings in 24 hours. C'mon fellas i need to get this done.

Yes hand watering is a bitch!
I do it during the veg period but after transplant into the final pots I use Bluemats.
When I was considering using drip irrigation I was told that you should water 3 - 5x during the light period and not water during lights out.
Was instructed to make my last watering during lights on about 30 to 45 minutes before lights out. Should run minimum of 30% runoff.

The best way to do it, is set it up and see when your pots go dry. See how long that time is a set a timer. Depending on your light setup I wouldn't water 2-3 hours before lights off.

I am using 3 gallon fabric pots, need to set up my Blumat drippers, hand watering is too much like work right now. I am digging the Tupur, though. If I remember correctly you use 7 gallon fabric pots, right?
I don't worry about watering near lights-off too much, but I keep the air moving at all times so humidity doesn't cause me much trouble. RH is usually a bit low, in my setup, so I don't really sweat it.

I don't water on a schedule because plant's needs change as they grow, so I use drippers or water as needed. If hand feeding I would pot up a couple sizes like Afgan King

You can use fabric but will dry quicker all personal preference I prefer feeding every 4th day I have a 1/4 hp pump hose and wand now still count out my feeds but hay on top as well and I use mycos every feeding lol shits beast.

My rh is 35% day 45% night lots of air movement and 71° day with 75-80° canopy depends on temp outside for my air cooled hoods and night time is 61

I have a 396gph pump and a 15 site manifold with 5gph dripper and I run it 2x a light cycle for 45 seconds. I'm using royal gold tupur in 2 gallon smart pots. I think the biggest deciding factor for how often to feed is the root mass. I wait until I either see roots coming out of the bottom seam of the pots or when I feed once 30 minutes after lights on and the pots feel lighter at the end of the light cycle. When I only feed once I run it for 1 minute instead of 45 seconds.

Just hook up a system and adjust as needed. Transpiration rate, RH, age, temperature etc all become factors that will decide how much and how often.

Plugged in my autopot system a week ago so... I'm here to gloat. The only work I've done since mixing the nutes was hand watering the organics today.

Autopots are worth looking into, only my first run with them, but so far they're easier than soil was.

I was going to do autopots before a buddy of mine showed me his coco plants and I couldn't resist the simplicity once you get it going. IME the less work the better. Any fill and go systems are great because there is less chance of us stoners messing with things a bit too much and raising the chances of a screw up.

I believe I will give tupur a shot after I use up the two bags of canna coco I have in stock. That should be next falls grow. I like what I am seeing and hearing. I do like Canna coco though.

Tupur has allot going for it which is why I've been growing in it for a minute now. The price, it's clean not salty, and the fact that it's ready right out the bag. No need to break up clumps of coco etc.
I've always liked a coco blend compared to straight coco ever since coco hit the shelves. The Canna coco you're using is still some of the best to add perlite into. I've always added 5 gal of #3 perlite per bag of coco. Problem is the price and the labor of mixing perlite into it.
Where I'm getting at is don't expect a miracle from the tupur if you're already a coco grower. It's killer shit, for reasons i said earlier, but not the best thing since sliced bread killer like some people make it out to be i highly recommend it also though.
