Im going to add more lights to my setup, i have 6 CFLs and want to ither add 6 more or get one 125 Watt CFL grow light. Any opinions on what is better? I would put the big grow light on top and spread CFLs more on sides.
So what would you all say, 125 Watts spread to 6 CFLs or get one 125 Watt CFL?

My grow space is small so a HPS wouldnt work...

Also for anybody who has one, do they screw into a normal socket and how long is it, need to make sure it would even fit inside my growbox.

me personally I have 4 105 watt Daylights and 4 105 Soft Whites and they all use the standard home housing

I believe the 125 watt uses a mogul base

the 125w one im using is about 11" long with a normal screw base on it. they can come with either depending on which brand you get.
id go for the 125w one instead of an extra 6 small ones if its just for 1 or 2 plants and for flowering with.

i got the 125 watt warm, ill veg with 5 cool and one warm regular cfl and use the 125 for flowering. If the tempuratures allow it ill use the regulars for side lighting when flowering and add the 125 for veg as well.

a 125 w enviro gives out 14000 lumens and only uses 77 w, but gives out the same lumes as the 125 w prototype but made it more affitant(oh-fish-ant), regular cfl like the genie range by phillips, say 6-18 w genies produceing 1100L each 6600L in total and running at 108 w, in this case the enviro has the edge, the 150/200w enviro will also use less w than model would state but still producing adequate and ohfishant lumens per watt, bulbs with more surfice area are able to give more lumens, if the bulb is the right spectrum check the lumen output to see if its anygood i supose

enviros are E40 fitting same as hps

I'm using a 125 cfl overhead 6000k and plan to switch to a 125 2500k for flowering overhead and then add a 40 watt cfl on each side for probably 3 plants (I've started five autot AA's figuring 2 or 3 males will go) any opinions?
