I would never pay $20 - $30 for a seed. I don't care what it was. The most I've paid is probably around $6 and I have quite a collection of some very good genetics. They might not be some hyped up Purple Berry Pie or have some silly name that sounds like it's a product for a toddler but they are the building blocks from which to start and create my own hybrids and produce my own seeds while never paying a dime for seeds again.

I don't want any of these crosses of crosses of crosses crossed with another cross of a cross crossed with another cross. Stuff is like a damn casserole with everything all mixed together in one big dish. Yet people line up for opportunity to part with $20 a seed for some pollen chuck. There isn't a single strain on the planet worth $20 a seed.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant $20 - $30 for a pack of 10 seeds, not per bean. Just today I was looking at Canuk and they have stuff for like $12/seed and more, to me, that's ridiculous. Where I am now, I'm pretty happy with the array of genetics in my collection. I feel like I have a little something for just about every occasion (except a good CBD cultivar, but that's in the works). I have so many crosses now I don't think I'll ever run out of new projects working lines Iv'e made.
Seed prices are too high, but there's many reasons for that.

I pay about $10-$12/seed buying directly from most breeders. Don't mind though, I think it's reasonable. Runs me about $300/year and I get to run different strains all the time. Where I tend to see the crazy prices are with seed banks that resell seeds.
