Yo Yo Yo....
I am looking for a reliable PH meter for DWC.
I bought a CHAMP PH Meter from HTG a couple months ago.
Got the PH 7 calibration solution.
out of the box, i calibrated it. Had to adjust it down a 0.5 point to get the meter to read 7 on the 7 calibration solution. used it for a day or two - rinsing with normal water after use, and dipping in the 7 solution prior to storage. 2 days after purchase - checked calibration - had to lower it 0.5 points AGAIn to make it match 7 on the 7 solution.
now its been about a month since purchase following same scenario as above.... the PH meter has been "adjusted/calibrated" as far as it can go down - and the 7 solution is now reading 8.2 or higher off the meter. I cant turn it down anymore...
when i test the calibration solution with a PH strip - it tests perfect 7. with the meter - its 8.2 or higher.... I've pulled the little cloth strip out a 1/2 inch and cut it off - no difference...
Did i break my meter? was it broke when i got it???
I need to figure out PH ASAP, any suggestions?
Im about to purchase another meter out of desperation, any advice on a better or best model?
