Res temp?

Try and keep the res temp between 18-21c, if the temp exceed this then problems may occur like root rot, but if a bacterial enzym is in your res, like cannazym or others, these can help restrict bad things forming with higher temps.
For example I have experienced over 23c in my res but with no problems while using cannazym.
If your water temp is higher than 23c or more I strongly recommend you use a cooling system.
If it goes lower than 18c it isn't a big issue, its if it goes lower than 16c, this will create stunted growth and leafs crinkle and gro deformed

Thank you for that. Sounds exactly like what I need to know. I'm starting my room in the basement and my res temps are at 55f I suppose I should lift it off the floor

Yes you should grab a sheet of 1/2" RIGID foam board and start with one layer.
Check temps
Then add more or less as needed to maintain an ideal temp of about 68. With a low of 65 and a high of 70

Its actually nice you have to insulate to get temps up :)

Last place I was at I had to shuffle the frozen 2ltrs around. I was gonna get a water chiller but then we moved. And the basement here is chilly. Think I might need a space heater for the room temp. It's about 60 down there

Yup basements are pretty badass for maintaining temps.

Lol the only good thing about an uninsulated concrete slab is that they stay a constant temp pretty much year long :)

Nice no more frozen bottles lol
