Hello everyone,
We are here at week 6 day 7. I had to learn a lesson the hard way during week 5-6. My OG 18 plants were bushy as heck and i felt that the light was not penetrating enough to hit the lower bud sites. To mitigate my concerns, I began pruning some of the water/fan leaves from the plant tops. My pruning turned into me spending about 2-3 hours foolishly trimming off most of the fan leaves from all 9 of the plants. I felt possessed in some way. Once I started I couldn't stop. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I believe it was too extreme and probably stunted the yield for this grow. Lesson learned. I advocate selective pruning, but not to the point of detriment like i did.
Anyway, The buds themselves are doing ok. That OG Lemon smell is really coming out. I've noticed that the RP OG #18 has more of a lemon fuel smell than a piney smell. I plan on running these plants for atleast 9 weeks. Then drying for 5-10 days with a 2-3 week cure before I make them available to my patients.
Lets get to the pictures

The images above are my CC SFV OG plants and my 9 vegging RP OG #18 plants in the veg box. Out of the 6 CC SFV OG plants grown from seed, I see one that maybe worthy of being a mother. The other ones seem to be less vigorous. This is maybe due grower error. I put the SFVs in the Earth Juice Amazon Bloom soil, instead of my usual Ocean Forest this time around. I really wish I had not. I think the amazon bloom had insects in it. I now see flying gnats in my veg box. Also, the Amazon bloom does not come with perlite. It has a bunch of high quality ingredients, but I recommend amending with 50% perlite because this shit does not have good aeration on its own.
The 9 vegging OG 18s are in CoCo. This is my first time growing in Coco. I've been wanting to try it for a while and made the jump with these 9. The coco I'm using is called 'Peak Coir' by Elevations Organics from Commerce City Colorado -
http://elevationorganics.com/. We'll see how it comes out. I transplanted about 1 week ago. Its 100% coco - no perlite or other amendments. My general feeling at this point is that the plants are growing quicker and in soil. I'm still using the entire line of Soul Synthetics with these 9 plants grow in Coco. One thing about the OG 18 that I don't particularly like is how crazy it stretches. As you can see in the picture I've had to engage in plant training. I've topped it and done some LST on the lighter side branches. I feel that with my growing situation I have to be vigilant in controlling the high of the plants and bushing them out as much as possible to reach their potential.

I've made a designated drying room for my harvest recently. The room is usually about 55-65 degrees. I have a activeair 6 inch fan and a phresh filter in there. The filter is really needed for OG.
I've also added another 1000 watt light to my grow room. See Panaramic picture above to see the new set up. I ordered the Lumatek 1000 watt aircooled ballast and it should be coming in mid January. When it comes in I will be able to operate a perpetual grow 2000 watt grow room - harvesting every 5 weeks. (Hopefully)

Above are the ladies at 6 weeks at 7 days. This is measuring from actual flipping to 12/12. I know some people don't count the first week of bloom because the plant is getting still getting acclimated, but I do.
I plan on feeding 1 last time during week 7 before engaging in flushing procedures. I plan to flush the 9 plants with 32 gallons of water, which equates to about 3-4 gallons per plant. The 32 gallons will be with RO water Ph'd to 6.2. The 32 gallons will also be treated with Botannicare's Clearex. I plant to do another 32 gallon flush with just pure RO water at the beginning of week 9, right before harvesting. Some may think this is overkill, but the way i see it, its better to overflush than underflush. I invite any input or thoughts about flushing - or anything else for that matter. I'm sure I'm fucking something up.
Thanks for reading everyone. I will try to update again soon. I'm on RIU daily, so please let me know if you have any questions about my grow.
